Regarding Megamind's crimes, I feel the $2,500 fine in the beginning would probably be waived, since he's so young and genuinely can't be held accountable for his actions.

A big part of it was likely the fact that it was nonviolent. Every other villain had things like murder on the docket, while Megamind pretty much just strolled right in and everyone just surrendered.

i love how the warden is just so used to megamind escaping that when he does it again he just wishes them luck and waits for someone to untie him

Good guys I guess can be one of them? Like SpongeBob himself despite his accolades has done A LOT OF STUFF, like collateral damage is obvious, but so much so that he wiped out the entire universe within seconds. I like that the writers of Megamind knew what his sentence would have been for the crimes he committed after he broke out. In beginning of the movie, the warden says he has 85 life sentences, but towards the end of the movie, during the scene where Minion as the Warden is talking to Megamind in his prison cell, he tells him he still has 88 life sentences to go.

A pardon in megamind: Character experienced trauma from a early age, resulting in aggressive actions to the city and acting out in what could be seen as more of a improve play, subconsciously never intending to harm or murder anyone. He was taught by many to do wrong, but he internally has been fighting this until he started to believe his actions were for a good propose of good vs evil. When he realised his actions were wrong and that he’s capable of being the good person he wanted to be, his behaviour changed to cleaning up the city, undoing mistakes he has made and protecting it from much worse criminals. In real life: A politician committed a war crime, but is friends with the president.

He put the bears into cages that were too small & other animals were hurt, so that's Animal Abuse. The Mama Bear being turned into a rug with his abuse of power is also poaching. @@beterbomen Moving 'undesirables' into camps and ghettos is usually the first step towards extermination; that said both genocide and forcing people into camps would be a crime under 'severe human rights violations' and would have to be punished by a tribunal by the UN or similar international court; it basically exceeds anything a judicial system is equipped for with typical laws. Also generally because to have the power to round up hundreds or thousands for extermination you usually have the power to change the laws to make it legal in your own jurisdiction. Can't be prosecuted normally in that case, so it generally goes under war crimes if/when the regime is overthrown.

For Space Dad if there is a crime for it, it would be "use of a false identity", idk if this is a crime. For the Warden and Bernard, it would be 2 seperate cases of identity theft. Still unsure if he should get an identity theft charge for impersonating Metroman, but tbf I don't think Metroman would even care because he's under a new identity which is "Musicman", and Megamind could impersonate him without any charge since Metroman technically isn't Metroman anymore.

I feel like Hal’s last two attempted murder charges wouldn’t be added because he was trying to kill Roxanne and Megamind for like 5 minutes. Yea he failed with the bus and eye beams, but it’s not like he stopped, left, and then came back to kill them.

Megamind of all movies is one of the only triple A films that actually did charge the villains for their crimes, seeing Megamind’s sentence being acknowledged and Tighten living likely multiple life sentences at the end.

Love how you put Farquaad as low as he could go on the height chart thing.

Fun fact: The Warden at the beginning of the movie, (7:40) counts Megamind’s life sentences at 85. But at the end if his charges (9:17) , it shows 88 life sentences total, which is what Minion disguised as the warden tells Megamind has, showing that the writers kept track of Megamind’s crimes before this point.

Like I said in the old video, The Fairy Godmother giving Harold the love potion could count as drug trafficking or drug based coercion. If you think about it, the love potion is essentially the fantasy version of a date rape drug. Had Fiona drank the tea that Harold poured the potion into, she would’ve fallen in love with Prince Charming against her will
