I can't believe you didn't portray Final Shape's beef with Beyond Light. I mean, Beyond Light hit us with the Sunsetting, and Final Shape is working hard to undo that mistake for them. That's gotta be some generational beef right there.

The return of sunset weapons from pre beyond light would have mattered if it came with the witch queen, not the final shape. We have gotten so many new/reprised weapons at this point that (maybe excluding a certain void hand cannon) every sunset weapon is outclassed by current gear. Hell, with the commitment from bungie to reprise all old gear its only a matter of time till we get new black armory rolls with an origin perk and then the last sunset weapon to potentially be relevant dies.

Only mentioning because I LOVE that song: It is "Deep stone Lullaby" BLs Raid, Deep Stone Crypt. It plays during the platforming section and is the most soothing experience I've ever had in this game. You probably knew that already, but just in case someone doesn't, well now they do

It was good I think it’s probably the most overrated expansion though it was good but a lot of people who were brought back into Destiny at that time or really got into it at that time severely overrated. It was a very solid expansion but it had quite a lot of downsides.

It's great for parkour/jumping puzzle part, but not a boss battle. Aksis' theme Eye's Up is superior

imo, the taken king is better than forsaken. its just so happens that last wish was a really good raid and raid race.

Forsaken had a better plot, a dungeon, two new locations instead of just one and a brand new enemy faction. Oryx was hyped up just to get bitched slapped. The entire story is just "Oryx came, go shoot him in the head" which is pretty underwhelming considering how influential he was in the lore as a whole. Meanwhile in Forsaken we're avenging Cayde by killing one of the franchises most hated characters who has gone mad, there is this whole mystery about wtf is going on. Then we enter the dreaming city and suddenly the story changes to groundhog day caused by a taken wish dragon. Taken King was good, but Forsaken was better.

The veil is a paracausal entity like the traveler but for darkness power. Its power revolve around the mind (that's why it was used as a base for creating the CloudArk). It's used in the story as an entry point into the traveler because they resonate (being 2 paracausal ). While we know what it is, it's true that bungie made it really hard to understand for people who only play the game normally without going deep into the lore. During the campain we only know that it's paracausal and darkness but we don't know what part it plays into the story.

Red War has a decent campaign, better than most expansions besides Forsaken, Witch Queen and maybe Rise of Iron. But the state of D2 during vanilla was horrid so I understand why people dislike it. It aged a lot better with time.

Bungie has always followed their: good bad good bad cycle for the past decade. Can we get 2 good expansions back 2 back?

Final Shape's story was disappointing, mid at best. It basically rehashed the "gather the leaders" plot of Red War + fine the mcguffin to reach the final boss. In Red War it was getting cayde's teleporter to work. In Final Shape it was getting to know the Witnesses weakness.

Deep stone lullaby started up, and I got all choked up.

It's wild how every AAA studio drops the ball on server stability day one every time. That being said, TFS is definitely better than LF. But I still kind of feel like Forsaken era is better. I just really like Black Armory and Joker's Wild.

However, neither of them will beat hearing that OG orbit music at the end cutscene where the lanterns are released is just too good. Just bringing back 10 years of those memories of where it all started. Purchased D1 collectors edition an exact week right after my birthday, I wish I could go back to that exact moment.
