I got a band 8 at speaking test without previous training. I just watched 2 or 3 of your videos. Funny thing is that I covered the questions, with exactly this common words. I was actually surprised about the band. But now I understood why. I just answered the questions and made relevant examples. Although I was so nervous and I thought ohh maybe I should have said that and that, I realise now it’s all about being you. Most of the students actually understand the questions but answer with what they think they should answer or someone learn them, instead of just being themselves and answer the topic. Thank you for your videos. Because overall I was a band 7, your videos changed my mind to try one more time the writing exam, which was pretty low, but now I know why. I wish you the best.

I got my results ( S7.5 W6 L8.5 R8.5 O7.5) I am grateful for Chris because your videos improved my IELTS scores drastically in 5 Days. My speaking was at 6 and I got 7.5 for that. And for Listening and Reading I was at 7 range in my practice tests but I managed to get 8.5 because of your tips and tricks. My writing was very poor but I got 6. I am very happy about my score. Huge thanks go to Chris. I highly recommend Chris to anyone. For people who are reading this comment, I think if you stick only to who is qualified and knows what they are doing you can improve your IELTS score. Don't listen to many tutors because they will tell you tons of different things that don't matter and you will get confused. Good Luck with your IELTS.

⁠@@mrahtsham7077 The thing is you have to use different techniques for different questions. I used the techniques in couple of Chris’s recent videos about reading and that really helped me. Mainly you must able to scan, skim and read fast. Check out the videos of Chris about reading and get a good understanding about the test and the possible question types. Then do a full practice test and see which type of questions you have trouble with. Improve them one by one until you have the ability to do them easily. I think that’ll get you a good score. Good luck with your IELTS.

@@tomystark5428 Hi! I prepared mainly with the resources from the British council website. When you pay for the test, you can access an online preparation course. So I focused on the exercises that were more challenging for me and watched Chris' videos for extra help!

@@misskochen Thank you! Ofcourse, as I mentioned the british council's page is very complete, it has all the exercises you need. Also, I attended some of the free classes and watched Chris' videos on topics I found challenging. What helped me the most was doing the mock up exams and analysing my weaknesses. Once I did that I worked extra on those exercises and skills I had trouble with and close to the exam I did my last mock up test and the results improved!!! My main tip for listening is to use the time they give you to review your answers to check the next questions so you have the upper hand. Good luck with the exam! 🤞🍀

Hi, I don't have enough words to express how grateful i am for your guidance. I am ineffably thankful for the efforts you put to guide us. I did not take any coaching for IELTS and prepared myself with the resources available online in different mediums. I was out of time in writing section, therefore was short by around 25 words for task one( i wrote task 2 first) moreover, my conclusion ( task 2)did not aptly answer thr prompt as the question asked to what extent do I agree on the given topic but in conclusion i argued that the advantages of one outweighs the disadvantages ( its not a directly answering the prompt). I was worried for the entire 13 days before the result😢. Eventually, the result was declared and i managed to score overall 7.5( L:8 R:8.5 W:7 S:6.5) . Thank you .

I definitely wouldn't have gotten a band 9 in speaking without binge watching your videos. Thank you :) I booked an IELTS exam without doing any prep work. It's been years since I last took a standardized test and I was low-key freaking out (I needed a 8.5 for work. as a non-native English speaker, this score requirement is terrifying), so I decided to just wing it and treat it as a trial test (not exactly the best decision lol). but then, the night before my test, I thought "nah, I probably should do some last-minute prep." So I went on KZread and started binge watching your IELTS speaking videos. *Your videos are truly amazing!! After watching your videos, I felt more prepared without actually preparing lolll. Honestly, I think that confidence boost and the advice of "just be natural" are the key to surviving those really random questions lolll* (one of the random questions the examiner asked me: "do you think some people are naturally more connected to plants?" I had to keep reminding myself "be natural and you'll be fine" while answering lol I ended up responding in a really casual/conversational tone because what else was I supposed to do? lollll the whole time, in my head I was like "???????? huh????? wdym???why so random?????")

I got 7.5(overall). L- 8 R-8 W-6.5 (not a good score 🙁) Tbh your video really helped me a lot. You made a video on speaking tips 4 months ago and that was the video which really helped a lot in my speaking test. I got 7 band in my speaking. In 2022 I got 5.5 in speaking.
