The bar chart compares the number of mobile phones sold worldwide by the five most popular manufacturers in the years 2009, 2011 and 2013. It is clear that Nokia sold the most mobile phones between 2009 and 2011, but Samsung became the best selling brand in 2013. Samsung and Apple saw the biggest rises in sales over the 5-year period. In 2009, Nokia sold close to 450 million mobile phones, which was almost double the number of handsets sold by the second most successful manufacturer, Samsung. Over the following four years, however, Nokia's sales figures fell by approximately 200 million units, whereas Samsung saw sales rise by a similar amount. By 2013, Samsung had become the market leader with sales reaching 450 million units. The other three top selling mobile phone brands between 2009 and 2013 were LG, ZTE and Apple. In 2009, these companies sold around 125 million, 50 million and 25 million mobile handsets respectively, but Apple overtook the other two vendors in 2011. In 2013, purchases of Apple handsets reached 150 million units, while LG saw declining sales and the figures for ZTE rose only slightly.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 Questions & Model Answers (Technology) #ieltsspeakingpart3 1. What technology products or technologies do people use now? Well, I think people these days use a wide range of products in their daily lives, from smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smart TVs to wearable devices such as fitness trackers, smartwatches, and augmented reality glasses. Other popular technologies are voice-activated virtual assistants like Alexa and Google Home, and they can control everything, from our thermostats, to the locks on our front doors. 2. Why do you think large companies often release new products? The main reason is in order to stay ahead of the competition and capitalise on emerging trends in consumer behavior. Launching new products that appeal to the latest consumer taste or preferences can capture a larger market share than their competitors. 3. Do you think people spend too much on technology these days? Yes, I think that people now rely heavily on their smartphones, laptops, tablets and other devices as essential tools for communication, entertainment, education and even work. Because of that, there is now this increased temptation to upgrade existing products in order to remain productive and have access to the newest features that can help make tasks easier or faster. People also want to stay ahead of everyone in their social circles; nothing illustrates this better than having the latest smart gadget in the market. 4. Do you feel that we rely on technology and devices too heavily? I think we do. We rely on technology and devices too heavily, because of the convenience and efficiency they provide. The problem this creates is our decreased attention spans and more distraction during work or study. So, on the one hand, technology saves us time and labour, but on the other hand we make more mistakes and take longer to complete tasks. Some people also find themselves at the risk of addiction to screens and watching meaningless content which wastes their time. 5. How did technology change the society we live in now? Technology has transformed many aspects of modern life, from how we work and communicate, to how we shop. It is helping us access information instantly via search engines, and hold virtual meetings via video conferencing tools. We buy things online from retailers offering same-day delivery services, without even realising their websites are powered by algorithms which predict our wants and needs!

Thankyou Sir
Thanks for your time, could you please guide me how to reach to the worksheet? unfortunately it's not possible for me to find and download.
Best ❤️
We don't have to write numbers (amounts/percentage) for every bar?
how do we get the worksheet please?
Where i can get the worksheet ?
we can write in the introduction the selling volume instead of the number of mobile sold with best regards for your effort
does anyone know where to get the worksheets, please?
Sorry guys where's the worksheet? I can't find that🙃
Sir is it possible to write what we learn here in the comment section and you can give us some advice on it?
Dear Mr Simon, In your example, can I group the comparison in a different way? (i.e. Tablet & Mobile are 2 items that shop A outsell shop B while shop B outperforms shop A with their sales of laptop and PC)

after watching the video i cant find the work sheet
Can we say" in the period 2009 to 2013" instead of "in the years 2009, 2011 and 2013?"
✅🙏
It was very easy to comprehend, but ideas like these don't come in real exam. Why?
too clean
