scorecard for academic and general is different. to secure 7.5 bands in general u require 36 marks and in academic 34 marks

Omg I'm over the moon. This is my first attempt in trying out the listening test in IELTS here and I got 31 points out of 40 which is equivalent to band 7. Thank you for sharing this video ☺️ and more power.

@@hassnainkiyani2591 I think the answer for 3 D is correct because in option D there is not word "gardener", so option B seems to be "more correct" than option D. I also ticked option D and lost score. But hope D is also accepted in this situation because it is not wrong.

Hey rob please guide me: will we be allowed to answer the questions during the voice recording is being played or we have to answer all the questions at a time when the recording is over (for i mean a part like a recording will be played for suppose questions 7 to 11 then we would be allowed to answer them during the audio?or we have to wait till the complete recording is over for questions 7 to 11? if so then it is nearly impossible to memorize so much details at once)

Sir, Can you clarify, How "s" comes at the end of the words. I wrote the answer like 22. telephone interview , 18. refreshment, without adding 'S' at the end of the word. I always lost mark in these case.

Thank You for video) May someone provide explonations, please? Q19 the answer is River Cotton. I can't understand why. It says, quote "There is a lovely walk down TOWARDS the River Cotton. This is the best view for visitors. You can CROSS the field which spreads along the path close to the windmil". Towards does not mean through as I see it. The expression "There is a lovely walk down towards the River Cotton" does not equal to the expression "through The River Cotton, there is a beautiful walk". Plus it has to be THE River Cotton (3 words, which is unacceptable due to instructions), not River Cooton. If this is the correct answer, then why can we get rid of the article "the"? I would suggest that the answer is "through the field, there's a beautiful walk down towards the River Cotton". Q17. The same answer I have here. Why can we get rid of the article "the"? The answer should be "the watermill", it consists of just 2 words, not three. Thank You in advance. Live Your Life;)

Hi Rob, Q17: watermill or water mill Q23: 90 According to my research watermill or water mill are same meaning but I'm not sure if it is acceptable in IELTS. TOTAL RESPONDENTS : _____ respondent referring to a person. The instruction says no more than two words and/or a number. I guess 90 is acceptable. Anyway my score is quite improving band 7 and my target is 8 or possible band 9. Still believing myself to hit 9💯

one fifth is mentioned which is equal to 20%. You have to look for similar meaning words too apart from the exact wordings mentioned in the questions.

Can we write rich in 30 rather than rich people? In 23 can we write only 90 rather than 90 people since Que already asks us total people ? For 29 I don't think sorting is only the answer speaker says drying and sporting or may be we have already written dried there it's only sorting?

Its weird that in this particular for some questions, answers turned out to be incorrect even though, if heard again its evident that the audio information & answer key results don't match.

we are not sure about it, but sometimes our memberships reported that they encountered some parts in their actual exams.

In the real IELTS test can we write the answer side by side while listening or do we have to remember it all , is the answer space available to us ?

you should write it down on your question booklet first and transfer it into your answer sheet later on.

The answer for questions 13 and 38 are actually wrong: for q13: speaker says his parents had diabetes and mental disease and his brother Dan had pnemonia , so B (personal diseases) is correct, not A for q37-38: speaker says they produce high quality recyclable papar (A) and paper which can be used as fertilizer (D). she says nothing about classification, so A and D are correct not A and B

A is correct for question 13 , as "personal diseases" refers to the ailments of the person himself , whereas problems due to family being sick can be classified under "household affairs"

I got 26/40... did some silly mistakes... i wrote Q.20- Berries, Q.-23 90 only, Q.38- D.... kindly tell these are acceptable or not
