somehow 200% more fun than most 40k reports maybe its just the setting doing it for me.

ON TERRAIN AND MOVEMENT: you are correct I beleive, Any model can climb, move onto or over terrain, see Basic Rules, 9.3 and the errata/faq for 9.3, where ot says "for simplicity and ease of play, the rules allow any model to climb any terrain feature." It also mentions the base is considered to be parallel during this movement/climbing. The parallel part could make the range of their base getting within a half inch of the target base weird. There isn't direct wording for the situation you ask, but I'm certain you would be able to make that charge/move into/onto terrain, given you have enough movement. The gigantic base slanted over a wall shouldn't actually disturb mechanics of play, but is a bit more odd looking compared to a small rock under a 32mm base.

A couple of things with Deepkin. First is you are unfortunately severely nerfing the sharks shooting damage output by not taking harpoons. They are 4 shots -1 d3 damage each. Maybe just keep a single net launcher? Second is don't let the king fight last, Unstoppable Fury is +2 attack for his polearm for each unit within 3", if you had taken him first, he would have had 2 more attacks, for a total of 8 (with potion) from the Blightkings being nearby. Also, Deepkin is a glass cannon army, if you go in for the early charge with eels and sharks, make sure you also get the king along with you, as he can once pr. battle switch D3 units (including himself) into high tide, and have the strike first rule plus unstoppable fury rule. With this army, you need to absolutely kill what you fly into. Lastly, give the Aspect of the Sea Eidiolon a look, he's a great caster for the army. The Tidecaster is unfortunately a bit meh.

Every time I see AoS minis I think they are really the gold standard for minis in wargames or any table top game, for that matter. These are also beautifully painted and presented.

So as far as the positioning question about the GUO's base at 49:00 . In AoS it's cat rules. If it sits it fits. That move is 100% ok. as long as the model isn't sliding or being held up by a part of the model that isn't attached to the base(IE, hanging onto a wall by wings or some such) then it's fine to place it there! You can even do the same thing with multi-model units so long as they can remain in coherency. I'd love to give you the nomenclature or exact ruling. But the reason that works is because there ISNT a ruling against it. so long as the model is upright and not moving around(Again IE falling or sliding) then it's perfectly ok!

Eh games are permissive. You can do what you are said you can do. Not can't do what is forbidden. Just because there isn't rule prohibiting doesn't mean it's legal.

What rules allow though is go up and even stay there. Can't physically put it there like with straight wall? Put a marker(dice etc) to indicate at what height it is.

So no can't put model slanted as no rule allow it. Guo can move over those ruins and be on top though. In practice can put that way as hard to have float in air but measurements done where the guo is considered to be from

@@bakuchidancer correct games are permissive. And the movement there is within what aos permits for movement. There is no rules for overhang or tilted bases other than and FAQ that states the unit cannot use its model to stabilize its position (i.e. no using wings or a weapon as a kickstand to keep itself still). If the base fits and stays then it's a legal move per 9.0 of the core rules

I like to imagine that anytime Chef and Beard hit the "oooh!" together off-camera, it looks something akin to the surprised Shaq face

Holy shit the soft multicoloured deepkin look bloody gorgeous!! They have a real Deep Sea vibe to them, Fletcher you absolute mad man.

For your doubts about finish a move with the base in a odd position, meaning not plane on a surface is real in aos. Looks odd indeed, but for practical reasons is how it is. Think that in aos some miniatures have huge bases that would not fit well in most game tables because of the scenery. They would be very limited on their movements, so for a practical reasons you can end the movement in the middle of a wall or climbing a scenery. The only thing you can't do is end the movement if your base is above other miniature's base, the place right under your miniature's base must be clear of other miniature's bases. Keep it up with AoS, i love it!

One quick note: I think you missed both players taking a Heroic Action in each player's turn. :) Love the armies and table here. Great game!

Any chance we're going to see StD match with Archaon in it? Really curious to see how he holds up with the new battle tomb :). Love your AoS videos!

Love the content! Thank you and please keep it up. Just a quick thought, the A.king could have tried to smash to rubble the gnarlmaw as a monstrous action in Nurgle turn two. Could have prevented the disease point and slowed down contagion generation

@Beard though match up againts Nurgle. Little trick for the King: Pop ''Lord of Tides'' in round one or two. Pick d3 friendly units to be affected by the High Tide. Pick the king and you can bennefit form the Command Trait ''Unstoppable Fury'' twice in a game. But be carfull to pick ur battles. Because the King likes to die when he gets hit! :D

As in resolution or points? Resolution wise, no. The weight of those files would be completely lost on the majority of our viewers that watch on mobile devices or laptops. We just can’t justify the bandwidth cost to upload everything in 4K based on those numbers. Points wise, yes - we do have larger games occasionally :)

I could be wrong, but when you heal a unit that has wounds and disease, don’t you have to choose one or the other to heal? I didn’t think you could heal both at the same time.

The Diseased rule says when you heal, for each wound you're allowed to heal you can remove a Disease instead. Doesn't say you can't combine the two when healing

It says “instead of healing” which means you can’t do both. So if you can heal 3 wounds you could do 1 remove disease, and 2 to heal. But removing diseases prevents you from allocating that heal to return wounds.

Of course Chef would run the new army, he mastered Age of Sigmar after all

Chef was *really* sick, wasn't he? He looks like a man that recently climbed out of a grave someone dug too soon. Been there, man. Glad to see him back. Nurgle would prefer not to kill *everyone* that worships at the cauldron. Hard to keep followers that way.

I can't get into age of smegma, but I'll always check out some Nurgle action.
