LYRICS
I am I
And I intend to go go go
Like Conor McGregor with a samurai sword on rollerblades
Like Vasyl Lomachenko after four pints of Gatorade
Like Kathleen Hannah with bear claws grabbing Trump by the pussy
Like Delia Smith after ten Chardonnays baking me a nice cookie
How d’you like them clichés?
Let’s seize the day
All hold hands
Chase the pricks away
Let’s seize the day
All hold hands
Chase the pricks away
You can do it
You can do it
Yes you can
I am I.
And I intend
to go go go
Like Frida Kahlo painting arm the poor on your fuck-off wall
Like Tracy Emin in her unmade bed listening to The Fall
Like Flava Flav in the club riding on the back of John Wayne
Like David Attenborough clubbing seal clubbers with LeBron James
How d’you like them clichés?
Let’s seize the day
All hold hands
Chase the pricks away
Let’s seize the day
All hold hands
Chase the pricks away
You can do it
You can do it
You can do it
It’s all about the confidence
You’re Joe CalfuckingZaghe
You're Joe Cal-fucking-zaghe
You're Joe Cal-fucking-zaghe
You're Joe Cal-fucking-zaghe
You're Joe Cal-fucking-zaghe
You're Joe Cal-fucking-zaghe
Let's seize the day
All hold hands, chase the pricks away
Let's seize the day

Idles... The best thing that's happened to -punk- music in a very long time. 🖤🔥
A couple years ago I decided to reclaim control of my life and go back to school for graphic design. I'm finishing up this week and my computer has decided to die on me. I'm hobbling along best I can but between those problems, insecurity about my projects and my life choices, I was just about as depressed as I've been in years yesterday. Then Idles dropped this song and screamed in my face SEIZE THE DAY, YOU CAN DO IT!!!! It couldn't have come at a better time. I CAN fucking do it, God Dammit!!!! Thank you Idles from the bottom of my heart, I can't begin to express the gratitude I feel, knowing you are out there everyday making the world a better place. KEEP IT UP WE LOVE YOU

I've written/recorded and performed in many bands (including one or two quite well known ones) and been a working musician for over 30 years. This band has got me as excited as I was when I first got into music via punk rock. I fucking love the textures and shades they are creating, plus the energy and passion with which they deliver it. I am 52 years old now and never thought I'd be inspired by bands & music again, with the same intensity I was when I was 8 years old getting my face torn off by The Pistols, Damned, Clash et al. Stood next to these, everything I have written recently sounds dated, stale and irrelevant so I want to thank IDLES, for giving me the huge kick up the arse I needed and for inspiring me out of my comfort zone and into trying new approaches to writing. You've given me a second wind and I love you for it. Thank you so much x
