Idles are my favorite band at the moment, and it's not even close.
The bass player is so tasteful, he always plays exactly what the song needs and him and the drummer are always right in the pocket. The rythym section in this band is just fucking awesome

Bowen is moving towards Warren Ellis-type madman wizardry and I'm here for it.
The one band my husband, our teenager, and I all three fan-girl over.
"The Wheel" is a monster track
I've been battling depression for almost 30 years of my life. It's very seldom that a band can come around and make shit feel infinitely better. I love everything about these guys. The first time I heard them was like hearing The Clash for the first time when I was a small lad. Thank You, Idles.

“Ah.. The Wheel… this song is about alcoholism, Sheryl… and the Beauty of Recovery.” Brilliant dude
This band has forced my brain to re-calibrate what it takes to make GOOD music. No auto-tune, no fancy fretwork. Just tribal emotion that harmonizes in a way that we can't explain. I don't know how you just "come up" w/ this sound, but I'm hooked.

I have heard this collection now 10 times …on here…back to back. At first I hated it. At first. But then I listened again and again and Al the disturbing nuances and atmosphere of these songs, how darkly sweet they are to the ear, completely captivated me and grew my interest from a small stream of water into a raging ocean. This. Music. is something special….. and it grows on you like a tumor.
Cheryl is either very good at making pre-written questions flow very well, or she is very good at coming up with good questions (most likely both). She is an amazing interviewer and listener.
Impressive what. That was what is was impressive. That was good . Yes I’m therapy through this.
Idles (Live on KEXP) shows are in a league of their own. Everyone is just at 150% energy all the time.
Saw them in Austin a few weeks ago. They were crazy, the crowd was crazy. It was fucking liberating.
I get it, they're the perfect balance of offence vs defence. It's remarkable. May be one of my favorite bands for life

The energy Joe brings to these sets is just... absolutely unparalleled. IDLES is the best post-punk band of all time. Not even my opinion, that's just facts.
The sound mixing is beautiful as always, but you can still tell they were playing LOUD on this one.

I understand why Joe is so adamant resisting the label "punk." These guys are entirely different. They are. Their music is f*cking beautiful. And I'm a long time punk fan, so I get it.
When The Lights Come On has gotta be one of my faves off the new album, sounds great here!
I’ve watched this set three times today. Their live energy is unmatched. Also I’m obsessed with the new record. Progress every time.
Thank you all for a great performance including Cheryl. That was top gone and over the top. Best music heard in years.
The last time I saw someone put this much passion into their singing was Future Islands' famous appearance on Letterman.
I watched their set at Glastonbury. It blew my mind. I’ve been a fan ever since. Such a true brutal honest group of chaps.
