'Idiocy’: Douglas Murray on TikTok users praising Osama bin Laden's ‘Letter to America’

Author Douglas Murray has blasted young social media users for sharing and praising Osama bin Laden’s 2002 ‘Letter to America’.
The ‘Letter to America’ detailing the former Al Qaeda leader's justifications for the 9/11 attacks was shared millions of times on TikTok.
“The parents of these kids of young people have completely failed, they’ve completely failed to educate their children in any way whatsoever,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“These children have become these empty-headed, empty vessels in which any ignorance it seems can pour.
“I’m amazed by this like there aren’t many things I feel like I can still be amazed by.
“The staggering idiocy of these people is just legion.”

They have absolutely no understanding or practical knowledge of cultures and mindsets beyond their cosseted 'safe spaces', and yet they think they know it all. It would be laughable if it wasn't for the fact that, in their naïve idiocy, they're holding open the gates for the barbarians in the ( _VERY_ wrong) belief that the whole world shares their unrealistic ideological _"equality and equity for everyone!"_ values and wears the same rose-tinted glasses.

My ex girlfriend, as a 50-year-old woman, said that if she had decided to have children, she would have allowed them to "find their own values." THIS is the problem: people started rejecting their parents and grandparents as authorities on child rearing in the 70s or so. The result has been generations of awful people who just don't have what it takes to sustain our civilization. Good parenting job, GenX (my generation) and Boomers - your smug hubris destroyed what millions of your ancestors sacrificed their lives to build.

This actually made me cry and i don't ever cry. I was 16 years old on 9/11 in school when the attack ocurred. I still have now words to explain to people the horror of that day. All around me was chaos and confusion and fear and immeasurable sadness and shock-- as together (students, teachers, janitors, secretaries, etc) watched in real time as tiny bodies took flight out of skyscraper windows and knowing with each dark speck that fell there was a whole family that had just lost a mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather, grandson, granddaughter, cousin, friend, neighbor, husband, wife...and i remember the sheer feeling of helplessness as the towers collapsed. And the lost look in all of the "Adults" around me that had instantly been transformed into scared children themselves as they wanted to phone their parents as badly as I did. And when they announced school was dismissed and we all needed to return home ASAP, the halls were flooded with cries and sobs and students in additional panic as they had parents or loved ones that had boarded a flight that day, my father included. And in a stupor i somehow made it home. I don't recall the walk to the house. But, i remember opening the door and wanting nothing more than to see my family, but no one was there. And i had no way of knowing where they were or how to contact them (our family didn't believe in the cell phone fad yet lol. Only my father had one). And then, a earth shattering BOOM exploded overhead. I ran outside absolutely certain we were under attack, as neighbors poured out into the streets shaking as well, head craned to the sky searching for the source of our impending death. I was alone. And at age 16, i crawled under my parents bed with our family bible and just prayed endlessly. The boom we discovered weeks later was from a sonic jet response in the area. I live in the suburbs of Chicago where two major international airports are located. So the military jets were quite active that day. Things were never the same after that. And the pain, mourning, sadness, fear all continued for so long. The ONLY comforting thing i remember abou that time was the way the people came together as ONE AMERICA 🇺🇸! We are criticized today for our silly patriotism, because of course being proud of your country and standing together during times of crisis is just so silly according to the woke regime. And there was also this growing talk of Islamaphobia that really took off a few years later. At the time, i recall being angry with anyone that would dare be prejudiced against a Muslim person or someone from the Middle-East in general. But, that's because I was applying the VERY generous spirit of humanity and inclusion that made America such a beacon of equality to the world. And now, looking back, I was just grossly ignorant of the culture over there and was attempting to transfer my Western framework onto them (how could i know any better as a 16 year old kid?). If i had known then what I know now about Islam and the Middle-East, I would have been in full support of the CRITICAL eye that many had turned towards the religion and nations. Because, we let them into our nations, into our homes, we fed them, clothed them, gave them jobs, educated them, healed them and their families, and armed them to destroy us. We are seeing it happen in real time, especially in the UK where they took in a larger population of Muslims from those areas. We are witnessing the revolt and the crumbling of society. The libs cry out about colonization WHILE the Muslims colonize! In the end, it has broken me to my core to see just how successful our enemies have been in using intellectual warfare and indoctrination. They have always said this! They have always discussed how the way to conquer the West is through the mind and the way to conquer the East is through the blade. And now we have Osama bin Laden celebrated as a hero by the VERY PEOPLE he ruthlessly massacred. Unreal.

My mother died on Armistice Day, November 11. Although of course I am extremely saddened and mourn her passing, I am glad she will not see the world descending into madness and stupidity with each passing day. As an example, the madness and slaughter in the Middle East always achieve The impossible- they get even worse.

@@soberman1520 teaching them common sense, morality, to think for themselves by asking tough questions and never take things for granted. a lot these new generation parents are themselves too libertarians and are afraid to set boundaries or put their kids in line when making mistakes. they avoid conflicts at any cost, praise their kids when there is nothing to praise, throw only positive and sugarcoated remarks, which unfortunately lead to this self-entitlement and ignorance syndrome "you don't tell me what this or that", not even mentioning the idiots who embrace the victim mentality. i m part of the millennials generation and it hurts me on so many levels to see how these spoil brats behave and carry themselves. they are so weak mentally and spiritually that, should they ever get in positions of power, will run the whole system into the ground.
