At a prison I worked at an inmate smuggled in civilian clothes, put them on, fell down a flight of stairs on purpose, when staff rushed to him because he acted hurt he said he was a civilian, they got him an ambulance and got him out, took him to a hospital, he walked out refusing treatment. They caught him three days later shooting heroin in a barn. He was only in the lowest security level of the prison, drunk drivers and such, but still the warden lost his job over it.

One of the many things this film did *really* well was depicting the utter lack of curiosity in a dumbed-down population. I' don't thing I'm particularly smart. Growing up, I was at best, average. But, at least I was curious about certain things. I wanted to know more about stuff I was interested in. Its actually kinda depressing nowadays to see so many people display so much apathy about the world around them, and in general have no spark of intellectual curiosity.
