Identifying vertical and horizontal shifts of functions

👉 Learn how to identify transformations of functions. Transformation of a function involves alterations to the graph of the parent function. The transformations can be dilations, translations (shifts), reflection, stretches, shrinks, etc. To sketch the graph of a transformed function, we start by sketching the graph of the parent function and then we apply the required transformations to obtain the required graph.

The answer is 32100 if we assume that the coins perfectly fill the vessel, or 32000 if we round to two significant figures. To get this answer, I divided the volume of the vessel (20 liters, which is 20,000,000 mm^3) by the volume of the coin (623 mm^3).
