Identify Major Chord Inversions - Ear Training Practice Video (4 different music exercises)
In this ear training practice video we'll practice identifying major chord triads by their inversion, listening for the bass note. This video includes a brief explanation of the differences between root position, first inversion, and second inversion.
There are four different exercises that target different practice goals - In Part 1, all chords are played in the D major triad so the listener can get used to hearing the same chord in different voicings and pick out the bass note. In Part 2, there are groups of 3 each of the same chord in different voicings so for some of the examples there is context, but not all of them. In Part 3, there are random chords but the listener only needs to identify between root and first inversion, and in Part 4 all 3 positions are included with random chord examples.
This video has been requested more than once, so I hope this suits the needs of the people who were asking for it. Please let me know, too, if you have other ideas for ear training exercise videos. I already plan to make one for dominant chords and possibly minor chords (if there's a demand).

I would love for a minor chord inversion video! Thanks for the useful training!!
This was a satisfying production.
great videos, however the first part goes too quickly. Maybe do a broken chord after the chord. Especially for untrained ears this would be more helpful. Thank you!
Hello Stephanie🌹🤗🎨🎶I love these exercises. Please do more exercises that are beneficial to us vocalists. Something along the lines of the two-year training videos before this. I want to turn my B- into an A+. 😁 my musical friend and accompanist mr. Jeffrey Feinstein was in my stream last night and I sang Breathe with you for him the version with you playing all the instruments. He absolutely loved it and we might work on a collaboration together doing a cover of it for you. Much love and take care my dear.🎨🤗💕
awesome video, so helpful
I really like this video. Could you please make the same for Minor and another video for Diminished?
Thanks a lot! 😊🙏
Stephanie Thanks for all your hard work creating these incredible ear-training practices when time permits could you place ALL eartraining videos into one playlist, I may have missed it but for these Inversions do you have a practice where you play the blocked inversion or Arpeggio's these are all so helpful Thanks Troy
Thank you for your helpful videos. in this one, part one goes too quickly for me.
Stephanie!🤗

Could you please do this for minor and dim?
