Nice video. "Seeing less of the cue reduces aiming" - this is very interesting to me. People always talk about looking at cb/ob when aiming, but I actually look at my cue. Perhaps you could explain with greater detail (maybe even in another video?) how seeing the cue is a part of aiming.

The cue is ONLY seen in peripheral vision and there is not need to ever look at it directly in my opinion. The more length of cue we see in our peripheral vision, the easier it is for the brain to solve the aiming formula of cue / cb / ob / pocket.

*Please reply :) thank you in advance* ____________________________________ i have been playing for a while but i have problem with my stance. have watched many youtube videos regarding stance but i still have problem because i still have alignment problem, the butt sometimes goes offline although i pay 100% attention to bring chest to cue. ............................ not sure but i think i am doing the stance wrong even from the beginning while standing. 1: i have been doing 2 types of standing behind the line of aim. first line going through middle of my body and then i put my right foot on line of aim and then shoulder width left foot as i walk in. 2: i put my right foot on line of aim , then i walk in and get down. ( im not concerned about boxing or square stance so much ) but i just want to know if the right leg (for right hander) has to be online of aim and the grip hand above it ______________________________________ *example: neil robertson turns his body first, and his grip hand next to his left pocket (he is lefty) and he hold his grip on line of aim but his left foot does not go on line of aim. also kyron wilson etc* when they line up while standing, their grip hand is next to their pocket and they hold it they as they walk in, but never put their leading foot under the grip hand. seems like their leading foot is more inside the grip hand

Forget the feet as they don't have eyes in them. Get EYES on the line of aim and keep them on the line of aim. Get both hands on line of aim before bridge touches table. Let the feet follow these top two priorities.

Yes, absolutely. Get more weight on the bridge elbow so you have 50/50 weight on bridge wrist and elbow - to take the strain off shoulder. Alternatively, you can try this to reduce strain on any rotator cuff soreness: Stance Optimisations - Lower Hips To Get Chin On Cue kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXmTl9ltkteqc6Q.html

stance related question? when you get down , does the right leg ( for right hand player) has to be straight when looking from a player behind ? should the leg be straight | or the leg has to have an angle like this \ mine has angle and i feel this is why i have alignment issue

  • @TheSnookerGym

Most players balance properly with right foot on line of aim. To allow the hip to allow the cue to move freely then it has to be an angle like this \ From side on, most players back leg is close to vertical.

While cueing i have started to bend my wrist inwards towards my body and i feel the cueinig is smooth , i can hit exactly where i want to . But while keeping the wirst parallel to my hand i generally used unintentional right side (i am a left handed player ), i dont know if this is going to work always also i have started to feel some pain in the wirst . Is it correct to do this ?

Don’t know what the official word is on this, but personally I had to twist a little outwards to get the cue going straight- just bang the white down the middle and experiment. I found that if I poke or tuck my shoulder and elbow - I can twist the wrist to counteract the side that comes off moving the shoulder - I settled for a tucked in shoulder and elbow so that my alignment looks straight on camera, and slightly outward wrist for neutral side, but you might be different.

Hold the cue like you would hold a hammer handle - without any twist or tension, rather than trying to adopt a position that looks good on others, or that sounds theoretically correct.

Sounds like a lot of moving parts here MrXeberdee... generally the looser, less tense, and less manipulated our position... the more repeatable it is.

If foot is on line of aim (which is ideal for most), then hip must lean to the side to allow the cue to move freely past the hip
