It certainly makes one feel lucky for having survived very banal, commonplace activities and scenarios that we have experienced and repeated with no sense of possible danger: You meet your friends. You go out and socialize in a college bar, you walk to a food stand and anticipate the hot, salty/cheesy goodness that will level out the euphoria from a couple hours of laughter and glib chat. You make your way home in a responsible manner. You make all of the ritual preparations for a restorative night’s rest, while anticipating the next day’s equally benign activities. But danger finds you.

The killer planned to kill someone so he would know or look into how not to leave DNA behind, if he did it would have been an accident when struggling with the two with defensive wounds. Have the police got DNA but he is not on the system? More than likely. Have they checked into serial killers in close states that are still out there, they say, there are plenty of them out there it's just a matter of time until they mess up. Christmas day today those families are just going to be so sad with their 1st Christmas without their babies. And to think this killer could be very well sitting around a Christmas 🎄 with their own family today. It's a messed up world we live in that's for sure.

So sad, I really hope this case doesn’t go cold.
Crazy because first reports said they took a sorority ride share to get home.
Nothing sus about this guy. Nothing odd about going from a serious conversation about Adam and frantically trying to call Jack and managing to shake off the other hovering Jack to entering the truck and staring at their nails til they get dropped off to their death. Nothing strange about a guy who lives in Moscow claiming he lives less than 1200 ft from Kohberger who lives in Pullman. And yes he is married (coincidentally to a MPD employee) who is fine with him picking up drunk female students in the middle of the night and wandering around doing who knows what til after 4 in the morning. Why? Because a guy with no connections what-so-ever to any of the victims fits the description of a man wearing a black mask with bushy eyebrows. Journalism at it's finest. You must be real proud of your success.
I hope they find whoever did this as fast as they can this is sad and disgusting I hope when this person gets caught they get the full penalty and more rip to these young kids and the grief there families are going thru knowing you will never get to make a phone call to say I love you is just heartbreaking I hope full justice is shown for these college students
How sad and confusing, and scary for these kids there in that town. There all tight and know each other then something insane like this happens to people that they see and talk to daily? I hope they can all raise above this tragedy and keep the positive thoughts and memories of this 4 young people 🙏
Why does Banfield always ask the question she wants a different answer to, over and over?? In this clip she presses the reporter with some form of the question, "Did the uber driver say he saw anything remiss..." I think she asked him five different times, plus asked repeatedly about what the girls discussed on the ride home. It is annoying that she does this in every interview! Praying a breakthrough to justice will come very soon, and that those investigating will have the clarity of mind they so need right now! Merry Christmas to all, and the very best in 2023. 🙏❤🙏

Excellent coverage!
The fact that the police knew that he drove the girls home before he had contacted the police, goes to show that the police know a ton of info that not even the people "involved" know that they know.
Another mistake from the Moscow Police I find. Even though without speaking to the driver, they eliminated him being the killer. However, he could have been valuable information on what the girls talked about inside the car, or if they seemed scared or just different, or if he saw anything or anyone when he dropped them off. I mean really, you eliminate him as a suspect but think he could not provide information to you. My brother was killed in 2005 and his case became a cold case and the Moscow dept and their incompetence can make this become a cold case too.

Holy Hell! The Police Never Once Said They Eliminated Him Before Ever Talking To Him! They Just Said They Knew He Was The Uber Driver Before He Called The Police. Meaning He Was Probably A POI, Until He Called And Let The Police Check All His Digital & GPS Technology, And Then They Cleared Him.

@@scorpio7927 He may not have been a suspect according to the police however you have a very short timeline if you want to catch a killer quickly. The longer it takes, the more likely it may become a cold case (like my brother's). He was very the most likely the last person to see them alive and could have given valuable information if he saw anything when he dropped them off. So, sorry this is something you and I will disagree on. The Police should have gone to him not vice versa. They screwed up on that.
@demijour1234

@@mar002007 I would say they screwed up a lot and especially shutting out the media and taking any questions from them was wrong. They can decline on any answers to give but to shut them out. Questions that come from reporters can sometimes give valuable insight as they may have reported on many murders (unfortunately). I remember even News Nation said early on, they reached on many times and have been denied any interviews. The head officer not knowing the door was open in the morning was just an indicator how they are not equipped to handle this on their own. He should have just said, I decline to answer that at the moment.

I think Uber has turned into a general term over time meaning general taxi/rideshare/personal pickup. I know here in Chicago and when I lived in Mexico Uber has been used in this way and this segment they keep saying ride share. I understand the meaning in this case is that they didn't get a ride from an Uber driver via the App/Uber company but that they called a private driver they used in the past. Makes a lot of sense too because no way is there only 4 actual Uber drivers in a town of around 25,000 people that are mostly students.

Repeatedly being said it had to be someone that knew the victims and knew the floor plan. It's also known the third floor was an addition, not part of the original house. Some discussion has been made concerning when it was built, and the permits. My question: If an addition is going to be added, a permit is required. Doesn't a floor plan have to be submitted?
Some weirdo did this. When I was young, I was followed on a constant basis. I couldn’t even go to the grocery store without some weirdo following me around. My father taught me how to lose them. My father had to intervene twice with a weapon. When I went to bars with friends to dance as I did not drink, the bouncers would throw the weirdos out simply because the men were drunk and I didn’t want to dance with them. They would actually try to hurt me. It’s so sad and unfortunate. This is definitely someone that felt rejected. Parents, please tell your daughters not to give out their phone numbers. Just tell them to give a fake number if they are trying to be overly polite. I did. I always had my own car so I could quickly pull in a random driveway and leave when the coast was clear.
