theres a lot worse situations then this that reporters stay calm in, a hurricane with relatively low amount of flooding (i.e. not forcing people onto their roofs and sweeping homes off the foundations) and power outages isnt that difficult for a reporter to report with composure

This is heart wrenching. 16 year anniversary of Katrina. I'm a native and this brings me so much sorrow. I lost everything in Katrina and when they pulled the trigger on the levees, but God saved my life. My heart ❤is with the people in Louisiana.

yeah that part of the story is clearly a lie they are telling. that tire was very obviously removed by removing the bolts. most likely they just rolled up on that car, took the tire off, and said "oh hey we drove her to her grannies". if the wheel had actually snapped off like they said, either the lugs would be broken or the axle itself would be broken.

That wheel had no lungs on it, was she driving backwards? She hit a fallen tree.. looked like someone took her lugs nuts off or they didn’t tighten them properly.

I think Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Southern Georgia do need more then future I-14 (interstate 14) as of Hurricane Escape Route. Future I-18 (interstate 18) which connect from Dallas Texas to Lafayette Louisiana is another Hurricane Escape Route, and these future interstates should have done years ago without any delays.

Prayers for my in-laws in NOLA and all people impacted by Hurricane Ida. Lord save those in the path of the storm who were unable to evacuate in the name of Jesus. 🙏🏿

Citizens before the storm: "Oh we're staying, we'll be okay" Same Citizens during the storm: "HELP WE NEED RESCUED, HELP!" Ticks me off they put other lives in danger, i.e. first responders, cuz for some reason in their thick heads, they think it's okay to stay and 'ride it out'!!

The bolts are still intact on the hub. It looks like the lug nuts were not tight, and the nuts worked their way off, OR, this was a rigged setup to look like a tree branch did the damage. Such BS.

Dear alice there were not mandatory evacuations and there are people who don't have cash $$$ are elders or young people . know everyone has money . Get a clue in life

Hurricane Katrina was a category 3, I'm so sorry to the people there! This is a category 4 hurricane.
