Ichiro is one of the greatest players in MLB history. Classy, professional, and loved fans and the game. He also had a special relationship with Latino players. He learned Spanish and felt a kinship with them, being a foreigner in MLB.

Ichiro girl is fantastic. Genuine happiness.
Ichiro is one of the most respected players in MLB history due to his unmatched respect for the game.
When I was a kid he came to my elementary school and read a story to my class. I didn't know much about baseball at the time and I remember thinking "Who's this guy with a heavy accent reading us a story?" Today, I'm thankful I had that experience since stuff like that seems unheard off now. What a phenomenal person both on and off the field.
Red Sox fan, but an Ichiro fan forever. He's the best all-around player of my lifetime.
Ichiro is my GOAT. Such an inspiration playing ball. His dedication and respect of the game was something else.
I’m here for ichiro girls excitement, it’s so genuine!
Ichiro is the man.
Everything about this man screams CLASS and PROFESSIONALISM. Lot of respect and admiration for IS. Congrats, Ichiro! Well deserved.

Think of it this way. Baseball was America's gift to Japan. In a country that is baseball crazy, Ichiro was an acknowledgement of thanks for that gift.
Ichiro is the baseball guardian angel not only loves the sport he respects it
I'm an A's fan, but I am an Ichiro fan forever. Truly one of the greatest of all time and impeccable character. He was so personable. As an away fan, he briefly spoke to me at Safeco during his warmup, when I asked him 日本語で about it. That little smile and nod he gave at the end was so sincere. If you could speak to him in his language, this speech was exactly the kind of glowing, glittery eyed love you got from him. ICHIRO! ありがとうございました!

I’m an A’s fan also but had deep respect for his game. We watched him in Oakland early 2000’s, my friend and I would start chanting ICHIRO when he was on the field or batting. The Japanese students in front of our seats would all turn and must have thought we were nuts since we wore A’s gear.

Kudos to my hometeam Mariners organization for putting on a topnotch induction ceremony, well deserved Ichi.
His skills are wonderful and even more, a real role model
100% without a doubt one of the all time greats. An absolute master at his craft. A class act. An ambassador. The true all time hit leader. Who probably could have 500 home runs if he chose to. He was that good. I'll never forget some of the laser beams you threw from the outfield, the textbook definition of a cannon for an arm. Love and respect from an Orioles fan that spent a few years living in Seattle and I'm still sitting here cheering for a guy that I rooted for 98% of the time, unless he was playing Baltimore, ha. What a giant of the game. If there is a baseball pantheon, this man is on it with his buddy Ken Griffey Jr.
Man... Ichiro made being a Mariners fan such a joy. This was when all-stars still stayed loyal to their city. I'm sure this girl grew up with Ichiro as the hometown hero and having this opportunity to meet him must have been so cool.
Great guy Ichiro, great speech. Well deserved for the Mariners HOF 👏💙⚾
I looked at Ichiro back in the day and thought to myself “Wow I had no idea us Asians could play baseball like this!” Then came Shohei Ohtani.
I was actually in Seattle during that time. (Sad, because of 9/11; the aftermath) but, Ichiro was THE MAN!!!! He's still one of my favorite players of all time!!! Always will be! He could run out a casual grounder; 95% of the time!!!! "SAFE!" #51 is my Guy!!!! 🤘⚾!!!!! That throw from Right field to 3rd was AMAZING, as well!!!!! Rung that cat, up!!!! "You're OUT!!!!" He sat there on his knee, calmly blowing into his throwing hand. STUD!!!!

He was unbelievable…I saw him play the 2001 season against the Red Sox in Fenway and he threw someone out at third from Deep right field…I was stunned at his accuracy and arm strength
A lot of American Athletes could learn about Class, Humility, and Teamwork from this incredible Man.
Absolute class and Legend
Simply a Fine Human Being. What else needs to be said.
Always been a fan and Ichiro was an idol to me. I played in the outfield in baseball and softball play so he was a player I looked up too. I remember my father calling me after Ichiro threw out a player trying to reach 3rd from second in a fly out situation. His throwing arm was incredible. Thank you Ichiro for your skills and entertainment.
Hopefully she shows up for his Cooperstown induction, as well.
The guy could do it all on the field. So glad he came to play for Seattle.

Ichiro will always be my all-time favorite baseball player. Sorry Ohtani lmao. And one of the most iconic unique batting style thing where he held out the bat toward the pitcher until starting the windup and throw. Cool. Badass. ICHIRO. One of my favorite moments was when he hit a game winning home run off MARIANO RIVERA in 2009. Legendary.
Ichiro was the only reason I ever watches baseball. And I even live in a country where no one cares about baseball. But it was very nice to see a reunion of Ichiro and that fangirl.
I would go to Mariners games when I was a kid with my mom and dad, and I remember they said Ichiro was "faster than the blink of an eye," so I thought I had super-human blinking speeds cuz I could blink like five times before Ichiro could run to first! So many good memories. Just visited home and went to my first game with my fam in like a decade. True legend Ichiro.

So So So So So happy we had him, got too see him for a solid year in 2002 when I was there almost every game Season tickets that year was hoping for a repeat of 2001 but to win in the playoffs didn't quite work out but Ichiro was great.
