Fun fact: when Ichigo met fake Zangetsu/Yhwach for the first time in Soul Society, he tried to tell him his name but it was muffled out, because Ichibei had erased it from existence. Even in the manga panel, you could see name was written in the bubble but it was completely completely covered as if someone took a black pen and scribbled directly on the manga. Crazy foreshadowing by Kubo.

Bro, when Ichigo met Zangetsu there was no Yhwach planned, Originally Kubo planned for bleach to end with Aizen's defeat and Ichigo lose his Shinigami powers and become a regular human, but because it was popular they made him continue, hence why after Aizen it kinda went downhill.

It is more like filling in the blanks after the fact. Kubo had not yet thought of Ichibei and Yhwach's fight. By keeping Old man Zangetsu vague he gave himself an opening for later. Lots of writers do this.

Let's thank Tite Kubo, Shiro Sagisu and all great staff of Studio Pierrot involved in this amazing adaptation. They did not disappoint by giving us good animation, banger OSTs and new content added to the anime. Also, the VAs are good on portraying their characters and my favorites are As Nodt, Senjumaru, Oetsu, and Liltotto. I'm also glad they expand the manga with those added scenes. They give Squad Zero moments and justice they deserve. I can't believe we got Senjumaru's bankai and I say 95% of Squad Zero's fight is anime only except for Ichibei. I can't wait what they store for us for Cour 3 and 4 since those are all bangers.

Ichibie's reveal has been undermined severely. 2. Why does ichibie not look more satanic? 3.when they used so much darkness for the last core and most episodes in this one. Why not here? Why have they not used dark theme and more "black" in this episode? Ichibie's power literally is ink and black. 4. Why do they think just making his eye white will be enough to make him look evel and stuff? 5. They really didn't need to change the aushwahlen timing and show. It messed with ichimonji reveal so much. In summary, these two episodes are the only one in tybw that i don't like. Not that the episodes are bad. They are just not good as expected or as the manga at least

Episode 25 and 26 was PEAK, I'm so ready for Cour 3.

As someone who watched your very first reaction at episode 1, it's really great to see you checking the insanity of this fight. Having so many powerhouses who can one shot your average captain in seconds throwing punches at each other is insane!!

Best episodes of the season hands down! That bankai was mad !

I live for these type of fights. This whole battle reminded me of third Hokage vs Orochimaru and the 2 previous hokages. Just full of history, lore and visual madness, it's like watching greek gods battling it out except they're asian...

Fun fact when old man Zangetsu first tried to tell Ichigo his name in the manga the name was "blacked" out and Kubo went on to say Ichibei sealed him from saying his true name Ywach

Cour 1 adapted like 80 chapters. Cour 2 did 67. There is 77 more chapters do adapt with 2 cours. If they kept the same chapter per episode they would adapt like 70 chapters past the manga, meaning, we should get some very much needed additions and expansions.

The japanese version did use the kanji for crushed, but if it paired with organ then it means that organ would lose it function. I guess this was the cause of confusion.

@@fiamma_23 Yeah Kubo uses a lot of double meanings in words and I think the translators don't watch the series that much so they usually translate it like a normal person speaking. But you can see in Kubo's poems how much he uses homophones. Like Askin in episode 2 hinting at his "Death Dealing" ability by talking about fatality, but Viz translated as "dangerous" or "dire" instead of "fatal".

Regarding the beginning of the episode, yes. Kisuke would sacrifice Ichigo and Yoruichi, and anybody he needs to in order to keep the balance and achieve the greater goal. In sense, he has the same mentality as squad 0 and Shunsui. After all, Kisuke is originally part of squad 2, probably the most dedicated squad to the soul society out of all the gotei

In the manga, his name was blacked out with black ink. Everyone (including myself) believed that was merely because Ichigo couldn't hear his name. 17:05 Back in Soul Society arc when Uryu fought Mayuri, he used a technique called Letz Stil (uncompleted and old version of Vollstandig) and it allowed him to enslave all the Reishi around him to power himself up much like Sklave Rai, a technique used by most Sternritters now to enhance their abilities in Vollstandig. That's what you're thinking of. Auswahlen is one of Yhwach's greatest ability that essentially allows him to take away powers from any Quincy he deems unworthy and make them his own. And with that, he's able to bestow the power upon any Quincy he wants, in this case it's Uryu, Jugram and the Schutzstaffel. For anime only, this was already established in one of the mini arcs. "Everything But The Rain". It was revealed that Masaki (Ichigo's mother) died because of this ability. Hope this helps!

And one more thing, the rest of Squad Zero are not sharing their powers or lives with Senjumaru. They are basically negging themselves to seal each of their Zanpakutos because all of them releasing their true powers simultaneously may put the three worlds in jeopardy. Even Senjumaru's power release alone is enough to shake Soul Society, World of The Living and Hueco Mundo. A lot of people misinterpret it as Senjumaru's borrowing Squad Zero's power when in reality it's her own. Had it been all their power released at once, the three worlds would have probably ended. That is why they link their lives together with the Blood Oath Seal. So, only one Squad Zero member at a time can release their true power.

Yes true, in the Original dialogue in the manga, Ichibei said " dont cry on me if your throat gets Crushed " and in the battle Ichibei Grabs Ywach throat and literally crushed it, but in the anime i think they censored it

They were marked with spirit restriction seals that severely limited their reiatsu in the human realm so it wouldn't negatively affect it. This power-limiting blood pact between the Squad Zero members is basically the extreme version of that. Given how ridiculously strong they are, undoing this seal so Senjumaru could use her bankai is obviously reserved for exceptional circumstances only.

I wish when Ichibe's bankai is active, the whole anime turns into black and white. That bankai in the manga is really peaked artistic wise.
