I love that he uses the "if we switched place" metaphor to convey that. Since he said “If you were to turn into a snake tomorrow and began devouring humans, and from the same mouth you devoured humans, you cried out to me, “I Love You!” Would I still be able to say “I Love You,” the same way I do today? ”

I always tear up a little bit when I see "I'm glad I apologized", it doesn't matter how often I watch it

In the manga, at the end of the chapter where Gin died, there's a sketch of a snake laying dead (Gin), a cat mourning over it (Rangiku), while there's a butterfly (Aizen) in the background, then suddenly a black ray (Ichigo) appeared behind the butterfly

In the manga, one character graces the cover of each volume. Each volume has a poem that corresponds to that character. The poem Ichimaru said, "If you were to turn into a snake tomorrow..." ,appears in volume 47, which has Gin on the cover.

And the latest season's ED song is literally the singer turning these poems into an ED and doing an amazing job with it. It's been a long time since I saw an ED that I had to sit through after every single episode, it's nice to remember how that feels :)

This episode could be titled “Aizen in Denial.” He tries to convince himself that Ichigo is lesser than him 2 different times. But Ichigo cleared up that misunderstanding real quick. This is one of Ichigo’s coldest looks in the series.

you cant tell me that Gins voice actor didnt SNAP with the emotion when he was saying his goodbyes to Rangiku, especially when he said " I'm sorry, im glad I got to apologize" I tear everytime man, ontop of the PERFECTLY placed music too. Bleach is a true master piece man.

Ichigo vs Aizen is definitely one of the most satisfying moments of all time. Seeing Aizen finally breaking down and being unable to comprehend something...

Gins death makes me cry every time. Kubo killed it with that twist. Made his character so meaningful beyond taunting.

15:31 : I really like that look in ichigo's eyes because it reminds me of how yamamoto's eyes look most of the time. The look of someone who just knows how far beyond their enemy they are ... to the point where they don't need to fear them or even hate them to kill them and win. Like an adult looking at a child flailing against them (more appropriate for yamamoto but ichigo truly was looking at Aizen like that at that moment).

I think it's not about any action in itself be that related to emotion or not. It's just about right and wrong with no attachment, like being the utensil yourself, detaching and simply doing what must be done, mechanically. And that is not because you have been reduced to a mechanism dead and with no humanity, but because you realize it is required of you to achieve what is right. So you embody that ruthlessness and ability on your own volition.

Those eyes always remind me of Neliel when she transforms into her old self.

Rangiku crying in this episode surprised me because it sounds so real.

This episode is 20 minutes of straight and pure flex from ichigo

Something that I'd like to point out is at 12:40 when he catches the blade, this is FAR STORNGER than what Aizen did in soul society. Bear in mind there is the difference in physical durability to stop a sword swing (Aizen) and the PURE GRIP STRENGTH to catch it (Ichigo) like he is on such another level he had to just pinch the blade to stop it and its metal af

It's interesting that Gin's and Rangiku's swords have extremely close abilities. They both change to dust.

Re-watching Bleach with Neel has made me nostalgic for how hyped I was when I first watched the show. MAN I CAN'T WAIT FOR TYBW

I love Kido and Hado in Bleach, especially the ones with full incantations. This Hado 90: Kurohitsugi, with the visuals, the OST and Aizen's speech was among the top ones. Also some of the best: Hado 96: Itto Kaso - Yamamoto using his hand as a catalyst; the clash between Tessai and Aizen - Hado 88: Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho stopped by a simple no-incantation Hado 81: Danku; I would also give an honorary mention to Byakuya's Hado 33: Sokatsui in his fight vs Renji, the power behind that was mind-blowing.

did aizen use a level 90 Kida on Sajin with out incantations and did a lot damage but didn't kill Sajin.

I would have liked just a little bit more of Gin and Rankigu's backstory

Choice for Gin to sacrifice himself to allow Rangiku to survive for at least some time, before Aizen drains Karakura is a cliche choice. It's powerful, but not in spirit of other Bleach resolutions. They should have died together, and passed to Hell, or both survived, with Rangiku deserting, or Gin forgiven.

Likewise, any Soul Reaper that have piece of him is destined for power. To empower his Hogyoku, Aizen took such piece from Rangiku, crippling her and making her unable reach Bankai ever.

The moment when you see ichigo calm as hell in a boss fight you just know he came hella op to the fight

When saying, that he surpasses concept of having other characters surpass him, Aizen refers to hogyoku's ability to grant wishes. So if someone surpassed Aizen, he can wish to become stronger than that, or maybe, even to counter a hack ability, which he encounters. And hogyoku listens automatically, Aizen doesn't have to think things into reality, hogyoku just grants him wishes itself.

Aizen was in denial throughout this entire episode 🤣

ichigo didnt convert him reiatsu into physical strength, he was just that much stronger

Tatsuki could sense aizen because he lowered his power to toy with them Aizen couldn’t sense ichigo because ichigo was so far beyond him that aizen couldn’t comprehend ichigos power

The best thing is that Aizen used Hado 90 back ago, withouth enchantment, and simply crushed a mid-low captain like Komamura, then here, after trash every captain and evolve to the point of being a godlike existence, he used again Hado 90, with complete enchantment, and Dangai Emo Ichigo just trashed it with bare hands. Here you feel the different power levels.

I assume Neel knows this already, but just in case, Ichigo didn’t actually trade in his spiritual pressure for physical strength. He’s just at a high plane of power than Aizen is and Aizen couldn’t find a logical way to explain that

Kubo hints at it too lightly. World building and characters are great in Bleach, but not straight up quality of writing.

I love the small details like Isshins beard and Ichigos hair got longer since they spent 3 months in the Dangai world. Their bodies aged by 3 months and things like hair (and I'm guessing nails but they didn't go that detailed) would keep growing.

Interesting point to think about, is whether having superior speed to Aizen counters kyokasuigetsu, well, if you know to touch sword. Aka, if you touch Aizen's sword in your illusion, it may undo the ability. Technically, Gin did it while being under the effect, but Aizen didn't try to manipulate Gin. Or maybe, Aizen made Gin believe he touched sword, and got hogyoku, while in actuality, Aizen was never in danger to begin with. TYBW spoilers suggest, that Aizen can make such crazy illusions, so the idea of ever breaking out of kyokasuigetsu is weak. Unless you think a lot faster, than Aizen and have hacks of your own.

someone mentioned last upload that aizen wanted to see ichigo's perfect form and the hogyoku granted his wish. thats why ichigo was able to get so stupidly strong so stupidly fast. though to be fair ichigo has only ever trained for maybe a week or so in terms of time. got bankai in 3 days got his master in 1 day then trained for maybe a week with the visards. ichigo never really had time to just sit down and train as enemy after enemy kept getting thrown at him.
