ICHABOD speaks on freight graffiti
This is a segment from the ICHABOD YME interview, full episode is available on our Patreon. / angelandzpodcast
ICHABOD is the undisputed king of freight graffiti, go anywhere in North America & watch the lines; nearly every single time you will see an ICHABOD. This is a feat that an extremely low number of writers have achieved in the entire history of freight graffiti. ICHABOD speaks on how he achieved this level of widespread presence on the lines, how he got into graffiti, the exact number of freights he has done, deeply studying freights, how he keeps track of every freight he has done in codes, his past pyromaniac tendencies & interest in chemistry, his ideas on money, our society & more. Full episode is available on our Patreon.

Me and my dad would watch trains growing up and we would always look for Ichabod’s! He passed a year ago and every time I’m switching in the yard and I see one I have to touch it! Thank you ich for makin precious memories.

*To this day I still see ICH on trains from Boston to Worcester to Montreal* one of the first tags I can ever remember etched in my brain, the big block ICH in black and white, just rocked up on a big old rusty train by Boston Gravel. It's still there to this day, and not a single toy has touched it. That's respect.

What a sincere connoisseur of freights. I'm not surprised but still, I respect actually hearing him speak. His brain has to be filled with like 80 percent files and information on freights lol. This man seems like a genius of the rails. Idk if he's ever linked with Swampy but that would be a cool collab, especially for a zine. He's like if a moniker dude and a straight bomber chick had a child.
So far you and Jaber are the only 2 tags I look for when out filming trains, exciting when I see you here in Az. passing. There are times when your tags pass I shout out on my video. You do get known as other that finger paint. When a train passing by at 50 to 70 MPH you two stand out.

i havent had an eye for graffiti until recently, i work at a rail yard and see amazing tags, like more than expected. im not sure who these people are, and the people you have on your show and in the mags have basic styles compared to these people. what im saying is the things i see on rail cars are very abstract with their name, its hard to even read their 5-6 letter name but they have multiple layers on them even with a moniker. shoutout to ichabod too.

I live in a country, where hitting freights is almost on the same level as passenger trains in some countries. Its not chill and the buff is very real.
