I appreciate ice trying to be good hearted but in Japanese culture it's very disrespectful, in thier eyes someone giving you extra money for the service you provide is essentially saying their job doesn't pay them enough and doesn't value them.

no its not lmao. insulting stuff in japan is way more esoteric, like you can fuck whores and your wife doesnt care. thats okay in japan. but say you pour tea to the young guest before the old grandma or serve yourself alcohol before serving others thats basically the cultural death sentence
