Iceland Walking Tour - Faxi [4K]

Exploring Faxi waterfall in South Iceland. Faxi is located on the Golden Circle and is only about twelve kilometres from Geysir and Gullfoss. It has a picnic area and a parking lot and can make a great detour while exploring the Golden Circle.
00:39 - Here is a full view of Faxi.
01:58 - Faxi is a part of Tungufljót river seen here.
04:06 - These are salmon stairs. The waterfall is full of salmon and is a popular spot for fishing.

It's an extremely short walk. There's a parking lot right where the video starts.

Suggestion: Assemble some short walking tours of hringsjá into one presentation. One at Vogastapa somewhere in the vicinity of 63.971041° -22.424270° but I do not see it on Google Earth; I see the old road that once went to it above the cliffs. Grímshóll á Vogastapa www.fi.is/is/frodleikur/hringsjar Some mention of it here: timarit.is/page/1396981#page/n10/mode/2up The one above and east from Þórsmõrk is well recognized and a good little hike up a steep trail. Wow, some have been there a long time: www.marvidar.com/wp-content/uploads/Hringsjar_Bladagreinar_JakobH_2013.pdf There's one on top of the water tank at Borgarnes: 64.554019° -21.901842° Another overlooking Hveragerði at 64.010654° -21.234149°

That's a very unique idea. I will be including a hringsjá in my next tour although I probably would have given it more attention knowing some are very interested in them. It is in Þorlákshöfn overlooking the sea. I've been to the one near Hveragerði, very great view there. Plan on visiting Borgarnes so thanks for letting me know about that one.
