    I rarely make comments, but I just have to let you know how much I have been enjoying your videos. And this Iceland trip has been so amazing to witness through your eyes (and that great drone of yours)! You have really captured the beauty of Iceland. Photography is amazing, too. Keep up the great work, and continue to have fun exploring the world! And thank you for taking the rest of us along for the ride! PS Can’t wait for Italy!

    A few things i'd like to say if you go to the east you have to see ,,studlagil" it is a basalt trench river. And go see Hallormsstaðir (biggest forest in iceland, cool place and nice lake there!) In the north close to Dettifoss and Húsavík is Ásbyrgi. That is a must see place when in the north! It is a huge canyon eith a campsite inside. And if you go to snæfellsnes check out ,,raudfeldsgjá" an icredible crack in the mountain you can hike into, plus the water there is supposed to have mystical powers ;) i hope you have a wonderful trip :)

    "The Awkward Tourists" have put many items on my list to see when I return for my third visit. What viewers really need to notice in these videos is how epic all the "driving down the road" footage is. Iceland is not only amazing at all these stops along the way, rather the ENTIRE way is just majestic. It is hard to stay on the road for the amazing scenery almost every moment. Your county is just amazing to see. I cannot wait to return. Next time, I hope to meet someone that lives on working farm/ranch. I want a hear about daily life in such a place.

Glad I've got 4K on my phone and TV with the new drone you guys got, but now you're making me want to get an 8K TV and really ramp up the images! lol! I've had both Jagermister and Brennivin and never got a peppermint taste from them, always tasted anise or licorice, but they are both definitely slow sipping/drinking alcohols, I would hate to drink that bottle too quickly and then have to drive down long rough dirt and gravel roads the next day! lol!

    Well, there's nothing "awkward" about the two of you. You've been wonderful hosts and a handsome couple that's been fun to travel with. Icelandic Brennivín, commonly referred to as Svarti Dauði ( trnsl. Black Death ) was pretty strong as I remember it, but can be mixed very nicely in a dozen different ways. However, I never heard of Black Death with peppermint. Icelandic cod is the best fish, ever ! Always fresh and they know how to cook it. Environmentalists say cod is endangered. Not so. They're just looking for another revenue stream. An Icelandic relative of mine has been to sea on the family fishing boat since he was 8 years old. Now he's 73 and has his own vessel with his own family and he tells me that he has never seen so much cod in his entire life. Please investigate the night life in Reykjavík and show some of it to us before you leave " The Rock ". I love you both. Thank you for everything.

    YEAH!!! A NEW VIDEO!!! Your videos have been very helpful to plan out my trip to Iceland, I have been watching a bunch of KZread videos about Iceland, but the one thing I haven’t seen in other KZread videos is that ship wreck that you guys found. I can’t find any information about that particular ship wreck at the West side of Iceland, I always get information about another ship wreck. Plus that sword shape bridge? Where is that also or what is it called? One last question, is it true that in Iceland, when you pay for gas with a Credit Card you have to input a PIN number for a Credit Card to get gas?

  • @TheSiggamag

    yep - you usually need a pin number when paying for petrol/gas

  • @TheAwkwardTourists

    @TheAwkwardTourists

    3 жыл бұрын

    Like Sigríður said, we did run into the PIN issue when trying to pay for gas a few times, We didn't have a pin for our cards, so we ended up going to another gas station nearby that didn't require one. You can also buy a prepaid gas card, inside at the gas station, and you didn't need a pin for that, but we never ended up doing that. That was the only issue we had with PINs on CC's during our 18. day trip. The Sword bridge is right before the the town of Grundarfjörður, couldn't find the name. The shipwreck was east of Stykkishólmur on rt 54. couldn't find the name for that either. It was kind of hard to spot
