I'm from Brazil, but I use to travel to Finland every year, using my summer vacations to give classes there (which happens to be Finland's high winter). You can imagine that coming from a tropical country, I don't know how to walk on snow and ice. The first time I went there walking on streets was a nighmare. Then I've bought an icebug boot. It value every cent I've given for it.

Thank you for the review. I just received my first pair. They are comfortable waiting to test on ice.

I bought Icebugs for my dad back in 2012. Then he asked for another one in 2017 so I got him another one. But he's still wearing his first pair this winter and just wanted the second pair as backup. He works in Fort McMurray, Canada where the winters are long, cold, and icy. I just bought myself one this year due to COVID and gyms being closed. My dad and I both have narrow feet but we wear thick socks (Icebreaker mountaineer mid calf) so it's not a problem. It's a great combo for freezing winters.

For years I have been searching for footwear that allows my clients to safely walk outside during snowy and icy winter conditions. Thank you for the review. I'm curious as to how well their studless boots work on ice. Carbide spikes are fine for boots when you'll only be outside, but for going to work, church, shopping, etc., slipping on wet tile floors because of the spikes just reverses the problem!

Thank you for the great review. I was wondering if you could share a little insight into the sizing? I will need to order online and I'm a seeing a mix of European and American sizing and I'm not sure if they are true to size.

Just bought a pair of the Icebug Torne and I love them out of the box but Toronto wether has been mild with no snow or ice so haven’t test driven them yet. The Strides you have are now sold out worldwide. I’m just a little fearful of wearing them in a grocery store but was glad to hear you didn’t find any safety issue with it.

Congrats on your purchase. I was about to say sorry that the weather is mild in Toronto ... but who is complaining? You will have your chance soon. I was fine walking through the local grocery store here with the Icebugs.

@@margaretmartinpt Toronto finally got a good amount of snow followed by a thaw and then ice. The Icebug Tornes are amazing. They are very light, very warm and are completely secure on icy surfaces - style- wise they are also kind of cute.. Thanks so much for doing a review on this brand, as I would not have known about it otherwise. It will really keep me walking outside during the winter months without fear of falling.

Thanks for the video. I know you mentioned you felt comfortable with them in shops but will they damage floors? Do they have noticeably less grip to regular shoes when in the supermarket? how would they be using public transport with wet floors and wet steps etc? really struggling to find answers to this!
