Ice Fishing GIANT Crappies in Shallow Water + TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Tom Boley MERCH AND CONTOUR FISHING CLOTHING CO. - contourfishing.com\
Today we are back with another video! In this video we are fishing for giant crappies while ice fishing. I talk about some tips which I think will help when targeting big crappies through the ice. Ice fishing season is in full swing and a good day of catching big crappies is always a blast. Thanks for watching the ice fishing videos.

Gotta love getting into them like you have. Nice when you catch them that large. I know, I love catching them on small jerkbaits in late fall. When they hit, hard to tell difference from a 4lb. bass, just crush the jerkbait. Keep up the tremendous content in our videos. Thank you.

Not sure what video you are watching or maybe just not paying attention but the very first fish he caught there was a break in the recording which means he had it out of the water long enough to edit out all the wasted time it took him to find his measuring spoon.

I saw Ty Sennet guiding a fishing show from a few years back on the same lake Tom was on but over basin and he was catching 16" and 17" and that was before live imaging (a lot of holes were drilled!)! I too would love to see a little more content other than the walleye for just a bit. It's nice to have a little change up in content, at least i think most of us appreciate it. Man, it must be just a relentless grind being out on the road that much. Glad to see some content from the hayward area too, even with the added issues of snow and slush.

Why would you flop your hand on an exposed auger blade? Or am I just seeing things. I notice in other videos your blades are next to you by your fish hole as well. Cover or put those blades pointing away from you. You are on ice. People slip, dogs bump into things. I've seen people cut their day short of fishing because they have to run to the ER to get some serious stitches. Be safe, be smart. PS, is this the same spot your wife found those slabs the other day for you? 😁 Nice fish Tom.

I have less than $1600 in my whole setup. LiveScope is pretty durable and you can find some good deals on used LVS32’s. Which is what I did.
