No, boys in the hood came out in 1987, anyone with a good memory who was alive back then and into hip hop remembers this, also anyone with the original record knows this since all records have the year of release on them. A lot of times rappers are off by a couple of years when remembering their old music, I see it all the time in interviews.

Maybe he got the years and song mixed up. Cuz i was so confused that Easy was promoting a song that was made for his death.

@@therealcountryboysjust to add to that, there are two crossroads songs. the one we know gets most commonly mistaken for a dedication to eazy. its the lesser known crossroad song that was made for him.. but anyway, yea eazy was already gone when crossroads was made, nonetheless.

Boys in the hood did not come out in 1985, he as off by 2 years! “Boys in the hood” (1987) is Ice Cube’s version of “6 in the morning” (1986), that song is Ice T’s version of “PSK” (1985) by Schooly D. It’s impossible that “boys in the hood” came out before “6 in the morning” when it’s known that’s ice cube doing his version of that song from the year before, just like ice t was doing his version of PSK from the year before his version. I see rappers being of by 2-5 years all the time in interviews when they’re talking about their old records but any hip-hop head with a good memory who was alive back then cam remember the actual year and also anyone with the actual record since the original records have the year of release on them.

I think NWA could at least do one more throw back show or album. Get Lil Eazy E to do his versus Like Wu does with ODB. Guaranteed to sell tickets.

Eazy and Jerry Heller was screwing them dudes over. Don’t feel bad how Eazy ended up at all.
