I love Mike Tyson. My favorite boxer of all time and he in his prime is in the conversation. But people saying he was best puncher or would be undefeated is wrong. He him self say that he couldn't match power with guys like foreman he was just quick and precise. He hit hard as fuck too no doubt. But wasn't very flexible. He is great but he has flaves that he couldn't conquer like adjust to styles. I'm gonna wipe u out. If that didn't work and it wouldn't work on foreman.he is in top 10. It's hard to say what number couse would knock out people who would be higher and lost to people who would be lower.

I've watched boxing for over 40 years. Tyson was, hands down, the most exciting and intimidating fighter i've ever witnessed. Precision, movement, strength, technique, quickness, combo attacks were unmatched.

It's because it wasn't a hobby or job for him. It was life. It was who he was, not what he did. Tyson also said Cus didn't like him celebrating. Cus would tell him, "Why are you celebrating? We practiced that. Did you expect something different? You act like it was an accident"

Whilst under the tutelage of Cus, yes. But his passion soon faded after Cus’s passing and for a large chunk of his career he was mainly doing it for the money.
Tyson was there to get the job done and inflict as much pain as he could in as short a time as possible.

That stare down from him, unlike most, it wasn't just "a look". That man was dangerous, mean, talented and had nothing but bad intentions. After watching him literally destroy other boxers, making their bodies just quit, it had to be a different experience standing in the middle with that lion staring at you like that. No thank you.

McNeely got beat in 89 seconds in that fight 😂 He got dropped once in the first 10 seconds and again a minute and 18 seconds later. McNeely's trainer immediately threw in the towel after the second knockdown. McNeely was ranked 7th in WBC with a 36-1 record. He did not look like a pro boxer against Tyson.

He gave you goosebumps and chills just walking into the ring because you knew a devastating KO could come any second after the first bell!😮

Tyson was constantly studying old films from Jack Johnson to the 60s. I was surprised to hear some of the obscure names he’d bring up in interviews. He was old school and a walking archive when it came to boxing.

So glad I was alive to witness Mike in his come up, his prime, and his downfall. Every fight was like a mini super bowl that usually lasted only a few mins but you had to watch it live. Never again will there be another boxer that is must see TV
