Do the exotics mining have nodes like ore? Or does the electric extractor go anywhere?

I use the water wheel for power - 1 for one deep mine. No need for composites and just empty the wheel when I pick up the ore. Obviously also it works day and night. Theres usually loads of deep veins near water sauces.

I didn't say water wheels was a bad Idea but it's more time efficient just popping down a solar panel right next to it rather than running a 190 mile power cable lol

If that works for you great, no arguments from me! Like I said below solar panels are far more mobile which (I believe) to be more effective instead of running wire every where.

Each of the 3 power source have their advantages and drawback. The waterwheel will require more frequent maintenance where as the solar panel is slower but will accumulate more in the long run 😉

don't know if it's a bug or if it's supposed to be like this. but it just manages to fill up that inventory with ore, and then the deep ore runs dry. so can only pick up 1-2 times before there are no more.

Hmm doesn't sound right

a lovely little update there, at least i can retire the pit ponies now, as they are no longer needed :) "For sale 2 welsh pit ponies, great for carrying ores"..... just got to find a way to retreive them from the planet :)..................great vid again mate....btw i power my drills using the water wheels, as my base is near river.

The one of the work shop is for exotics, there is a tier 4 variant but like i explained in the video I'd recommend the workshop one. And thank you!

Question: How do I get rid of old workshop gear? For example, the first suit you get when you start. I have tried right clicking and pressing destroy but it doesn't get rid of the old suit (which is not equipped).

So if your on open world mode and have a old environmental suit equipped you'll have to go back to the station via your drop ship and prepare to land on the planet again but on your loadout screen you can add your new environmental suit from there and a new loadout that should work I guess.

how can I keep electric deep mining drill going at full capacity at night? thought maybe small battery might help with that with full charge at night but seems not

Hey sorry didn't see this message, you can just had wind power powering your base and a long electric cable to your base to the drill like it did or connect wind power directly to your drill. With batteries now being a thing that's a good shout but costly per drill site

Question guys do the T4 drills work when your off line or only when log ingame ?

I found my convenient iron one just weirdly stopped. Any indication how to tell if/when it is exhausted?

They shouldn't exhaust, just reconnect the wire and it should start back up.

Are you sure they don't run out? I have two now, in Open World, that have stopped (two others still running). I've completely picked everything up and put it back down again to no effect.

@@EQArpeggio They do run out. I found a table/spreadsheet somewhere that showed the maximum extraction for each kind of ore. So, in open world, it seems to be limited. Fortunately, with the two available scanners, workshop being the more advanced since you can specify the ore you seek, I find new sources easily. That said, they are going to be further away from your base.

@@Fortizar negative sir. In open world they are limited to specific amounts. I cannot remember where, but someone had posted tables of the maximum extraction rates per ore.
