Of course, Jennette grew up working with them and Miranda and Jennette are best friend outside iCarly. So all of them have full respect on her. They did say Sam won't be replaced and won't be forgotten in the iCarly reboot and that's a good thing

I'm hoping it's going to be something simple where maybe she moved to the opposite coast and is following her dreams. That leaves the door open in case Jeannette ever decides to come back, and it leaves it open for her to still be in contact with the rest of the iCarly family even if she's not actually there.

@@LilBlueSkyGuy Mary-Kate and Ashley retired from acting a long time ago. They were on an acting Hamster wheel their whole childhoods and got burnt out. Not to mention they have been battling medical issues for a while now. They also have a successful fashion empire which takes up a lot of their time. So in all, I think it's less of the twins having a problem with a show that they would barely remember and more to do with they just went into a different direction in their lives. I was saddened about them not returning nor them using their little sister for Michelle but I understand and wish them all luck.

Everyone is so ageless, only Nathen Kress is the only one that looks older but looking at Jerry Trainer it's like he never aged despite him being the oldest.

Her decision has nothing to do with dan. If you watch & read her interviews, she praises him. her experience with acting in her youth was her mom being in and out of the hospital plus an eating disorder. She is in a happier place now & I’m proud of her.

I'm sad that Sam won't be in the reboot but I totally understand why Jennette McCurdy didn't want to return and I respect her decision. Besides, according to the writer there will be explanation why Sam isn't there. Either way, I'm excited for this. As a fan who grew up watching the show, it's nice to see these characters back on screen again. I hope they treated the characters the way the older fans wanted to be

Guys before judging, you should listen to her podcast “Empty Inside”. She talks about how traumatizing her experience as an actor was. She was abused and her mother devalued her mental health. Let us celebrate her accomplishments getting through it

@@ziggy2961 absolutely, i believe I remember how she once talked about how she developed an ED as a result of acting on the show and pressure from her mom, and how Dan Schneider knew that and abused and traumatized her and manipulated that by making her character Sam in love with food and eating all the time. It’s very understandable why she wouldn’t come back to acting and iCarly because of trauma she faced when on the show. I’m really glad that everyones supported this decision and gave her character a proper explanation in the pilot as to where she is, it really shows all the love and support they have for her

ICarly and Victorious were my childhood😭 Hopefully they make a reboot of Victorious. Best shows on teen Nick. Miss 2010’s. Gonna miss Jennete on the show, she was the best and made it more funny and added more character. Hopefully one day she comes back.

Omg yesss! I want a Zoey 101 reboot too! I mean they did that one thing on KZread a couple years ago where adult Chase and Michael found out what was on the DVD Zoey put in the time capsule cause it had been 10 years and in the show Zoey said she would tell Chase what she said in it in 10 years. That and Jamie Lynn did a new version of the theme song.

Their positive energy and just love is what makes it even more worth it for this reboot. Oh my God how time flies

If Jeanette doesn't want to go on it because it will negatively affect her psyche that is her decision and right. But would it be fair to hold the rest of the cast hostage because of her? No. That wouldn't be fair to them. Plus it'd probably make Jeanette feel worse with guilt. They should just all do their own thing that THEY want to do.

One thing i absolutely love is that they're still addressing Sam in the pilot episode & keeping her existence in the show

Happy to hear they're just not pretending Sam doesn't exist in the show. I respect Jennette's wishes, but I think it would be weird if they didn't at least mention an old major character.

My youngest niece adores Jennette and Miranda… She watches iCarly, Sam&Kat, she’s a huge Ariana Grande nut as well…. She’s so excited about the iCarlyReboot…..

Jennette's mom played a huge on that, but also Dan Schneider, that man is a monster and ruined the lives of many young girls.

I love how they still acknowledge Sam in the show and how there’s no bad blood between the actor’s. I’m excited for this show

It's honestly not the same without Sam but I'll still love the show

But I'm glad they kept Spencer. It would've been boring if the revival didn't have either Sam OR Spencer. Sam could be gone but they should bring back Spencer cuz he carried the original from start to finish 😂

I’m so glad that they addressed Jennette and her character Sam! Of course I am sad that she will not be returning but as the cast said and how I feel, it’s completely up to her and we respect her wishes! I’m just happy that they’re all still a family!

They are soooo supportive of Jeannette, what an amazing group of people!!

They all seem so likable I just want to give them all a big hug

I mean I'm not going to lie like we all know why she decided not to be on the show it's not just because she had other things going on. She is literally stated multiple times that she would literally forced into acting by her mother as a young child not to mention basically taken advantage of by Dan Schneider while filming the show. And she's talked about it many many many many many many times so I mean we can't just say it's because she has other things going on she feels uncomfortable being on the show because of the things she had to deal with as a kid when she was on the show. I could be wrong but she's literally said it many times

They’ll go with Sam living with Cat it be messed up to say she’s in jail and I don’t think the two would grow apart. Carly could’ve visited Sam during summer break or spring break

It would be cool for sam to make cameo in the future the cast is so respect , of her wishes they are such good friends.

given what we know now about jennette's experience in acting, i think we can all understand and respect why she isn't pursuing it further. so proud of how far she's come.
