So, we got a hotel room for the rest of the weekend. Well, the first night, nothing happened. Because I really only wanted to hang out with her. But the next morning, I woke up with her hand on my face. Because I snore. This somehow led to play fighting, cuddling, kissing, etc. I'm still not sure how it all happened. Creddie are 100% hooking up at some point in this series. Not only are they sprinkling in narrative hints to it happening (and hitting us over the head with it in this episode lol) but the cast/crew interviews seem to largely hint towards something happening further down the road.

Honestly with how everything was set up, I was hoping they would confront those conversations about their past “relationship” a little more this episode. Them being sorta forced on this romantic trip alone together I thought was a good stage to make them look at their past together and have that conversation finally-and I’m totally cool with it being a conversation about staying friends! But either way, it’s one they’ve needed to have and I haven’t really felt like we’ve had those type of moments of heart in this show that we had in the first one. Just felt like a missed opportunity to me is all.

I think it needs to happen naturally and winding up in a honeymoon suite is about as forced into having that conversation as two friends can get so I'm glad it didn't happen that way. One of them is probably going to reach a breaking point though and start that conversation. That's my gut feeling.

I really loved this episode. It was the perfect amounts of awkward, adult, and wasn’t discreet at all about anything (the song literally said “let’s have s-s-s-SEX”). Really looking forward to how the season ends and where they’d go in season 2. They definitely found their footing in the latter half.

The idea that Carly and Freddie weren't ready or good for eachother as middle schoolers but later in life they mature enough to be a good fit is actually a kinda nice way to look at it

It should be noted that one of the biggest themes throughout this show is Carly and Freddie’s love lives. In most episodes, it becomes clear that both of them want to find someone to be with. This might continue until they eventually end up together.

@@TheNearsightedGamer While on the original, it’s almost always been one sided. When she mentions their past relationship, she portrayed it as being complicated. There isn’t really anything complicated about the one sided relationship they had with the exception of the episode where Freddie saves her from being hit by a car and when she kisses him in the finale. The fact that Carly doesn’t portray it as one sided and is the one to mention their romantic past as being somewhat complicated might be indicative that she might somewhat be into Freddie.

I think carly and freddie assume each other aren't interested in dating each other. that's why carly pushed for gwen and freddie to get back together. but i think they are both actually open to the idea of getting together. They only get awkward about it when they are forced into a situation that brings it up. But since they both think the other person is ok with being friends, they are very comfortable around each other in their everyday lives. This episode was really good and funny to me. Like i actually laughed out loud multiple times and i couldn't stop smiling. I would like to see Creddie happen but I also would be fine if it didn't. They have the history and chemistry for either one. In all honesty, I just like seeing them together and having adventures.

From Carly’s perspective she is probably afraid to cross that line because all her other relationships have failed, I mean I don't even think any of them lasted a month. I do think she has feelings for him though. I mean she was the one who kissed him goodbye in the original so she obviously has some level of deeper feelings for him. Otherwise situations like this episode would not be so awkward.

Funny thing, I kept my eye on the viewership of Carly’s bar livestream. It started around the numbers of last week’s show, rose steadily to about 550 when it JUMPS to 1500 or so, so it seems they picked up on it?

Same. When she had like 30k viewers in the beginning when she started i was a bit put off by it because you cant just stop doing internet stuff for a decade and expect all your audience to be there when you come back. Then i was very impressed when the numbers went down to a couple hundreds or even tens showing how the public interest towards you can sputter out almost immediately.

@@kevins7704 Well it seemed she had a new channel already for a while (because she’s been back a while), but hadn’t actually relaunched the iCarly brand until her planned joint channel with Beau fell through. So in some ways the very high viewership made sense. It’s the smaller numbers that haven’t made quite the sense.

I think the previous stream viewership had to do with the way that 1) people love seeing influencers come back after a hiatus, only for them to ditch that influencer once the nostalgia is gone 2) it seemed like Carly had told people about the streams (the situation with Beau & iCarly) as opposed to some of the other ones where they were spontaneous

In the original run I didn't want to see Carly and Freddy together. Personally I thought that they weren't right for each other at that moment. Freddy seemed too reliant on his mother and honestly gave off some needy vibes. Carly wouldn't of made him grow as a character. I couldn't see Freddie being more of his own person with her. Nor could I see him give Carly the push in the right direction she needed. Now however with both of them maturing and becoming their own persons I could definitely see and want a relationship between them.

I really like their friendship being platonic, the shipping moments in the original to me also didn’t match. If it happens now I feel like they’ll make it work way better but I kinda hope they continue just being strong friends

I agree with both of you! In the original run, it was really forced and awkward, and kind of creepy. I still don't necessarily WANT them to get together, but I think they have much more chemistry as characters in this reboot, and a romantic relationship wouldn't feel as "off" to me

I think Maeve might be a recurring character, I feel like it makes sense to have her around for the different character dynamics. We need someone for Spencer to interact with since Carly has Harper and Freddie has Millicent. They could also change things up and have Harper with Maeve and Spencer with Carly. And there’s times where Spencer and Harper are interacting that I could see them turning it into a trio with Maeve or putting her with Carly.

Spencer and Harper would be more serious, so they might make Maeve leave again with her old pirate kidnapper (and play that as a joke) as they pair up Spencer with Harper.

This is the wildest episode of icarly ever hands down.

Oh God, I was waiting for this video! The Creddie tease in this episode is killing me. And the twist with Brooke? COMEDY GOLD! Definitely my favorite episode thus far. Also, Spencer and Maeve are so adorable together.

Worth mentioning that Brooke was played by Esther Povitsky, one of the producers and a very funny comedian and I hope we see more of her in future episodes.

The last episode kinda had them interacting about not having jobs, I think that similarity will be a way to get them to interact more

Between Carly not being able to find a boyfriend and Freddie not being able to find a girlfriend, I can defiantly see them making them endgame. Maybe end of season 2 we get the payoff and in season 3 if the show continues we see them actually be a couple maybe move in together or something. And when the eventual series finale airs that's the wedding episode where we get the cameo from Sam congratulating them

This show is really impressing me. It's crazy how the birthday episode (the worst one) started a hot streak of great episodes. I never thought I'd see a child/teen sitcom convert to an adult one (especially so well) but this is really great!

I LOVED this episode haha the tension between Freddie and Carly had me cracking up

This was my favorite episode so far! I’m loving this show so far, I really love the direction they’re going in and I love the fact that the catering to the kids who first watch the show who are now adults and they’re not still trying to make this for kids like other kids show reboots. I’ve never laughed so hard at an episode this was great! I’m excited for next week!

They literally wanted to drive Creddies into madness.

Coming from being a major Seddie, I feel like the Creddie in this episode is done right.

Jerry Trainer (Spencer) still by far remains my favorite element of the series. A lot of the development and down to earth elements with the other characters is nice, don’t get me wrong. But Spencer still maintain that wacky, weird, childish spirt of the original despite approaching things in a more adult way.

This was my favorite episode so far! So fun😂

I definitely like that they have taken an adult direction but I wish something every once in a while would actually happen in this show, for people in their late 20ies we see very little of romance and them working. You could say Carly worked way more as a teenager than as an adult woman. Also, keep up the good work, I like your reviews even though I don't always agree with you.

Clary has this belief that her birthday is cursed so she locks herself away every year but this time Spencee forced her to have a birthday party and brought his friend who he pretended was some kind of witch that had “broken the curse”….he ended up dying and spencer panicked and tried to hide his body during the birthday party 😂

i love how the show isnt going overboard with the adult themes, i like that theyre gradually adding more mature plots rather than throwing it all at us at once plus the fact they havent gone overboard with it allows us to see that its still the same show, same characters just with new issues

Your opening was hilarious dude! This episode was definitely a fun one and like you said the second half of the series is handling things much better than the first half! 3 more episodes huh? Then you'll finally be able to get that sleep! Also loved the references sprinkled through out the video. Your editing is in a league of its own!

If Creddie do end up finally getting together, the BEST end to the episode would be Sam randomly turning back up. Let the triangle commence!

It’ll be the most satisfying conclusion for the show, we literally spent all of both iCarlys watching Freddie suffer, he deserves to win in the end

Honestly I was hoping the 3 way thing happened. It would add a lot to the dynamic of the two. But the episode did way more than i expected on the more adult themes.

Dude I remember when you showed up in CnD's videos, it's awesome to see this epic reboot to make a big name for yourself you deserve every bit of this attention. Congrats!

this honestly feels like icarly but she's an outdated youtuber who has long gone relevancy and is trying her absolute best to stay relevant the adult comedy

Also the t-shirt Freddy gifted Carly (yknow the one she said she would never wear) she wears in the last scene. creddie stans… we won.
