    Was für eine grandiose Führerstandsmitfahrt !!! Was gibt es schöneres als früh Morgens durch die Lande zu fahren ??? Beonders gut gefallen mir die Morgennebel zwischen Burgfarrnbach und Würzburg. Einmalige Stimmung !!!

    I was stationed in Germany for 7 years and I loved traveling on the trains. You could go just about anywhere on them. They ran like clockwork.

    No, unfornatunally not. If a clock would run like the DB, i would bring it back for repairs :D But yes, in comparison to other networks our works still fine.

    A delay of 10 minutes is to be expected at any time, even a lot more is not too rare. Only like a 5th runs on time. Is that what a clockwork is like for you?

    Tolle Mitfahrt und klasse Bildqualität, da ist eigentlich alles dabei, wunderschöne Landschaften, Schnellfahrstrecke und urbanes Terrain. Die Einfahrt nach Frankfurt sieht einfach klasse aus!

    What a beautiful ride! When the train was going thru the misty meadows, that was so gorgeous view, took my breath away. Then the sun came up and made the countryside look absolutely wonderful! One of the best cab view videos I've seen on KZread. Danke schön! (and we want more 😍)

    In England when the moving train passes a signal, a warning buzzer sounds in the cab. The driver has to cancel it within a few seconds otherwise the brakes are applied automatically, for example if the driver is sleeping or otherwise incapacitated.

    Morning fog in first part of ride certainly proved why Russian poet Pushkin called Germany "foggy". And why there is a stereotype about the German obsession with mysticism. But great views by the way. Now I understand why Hernhutians settled in Baltic States. They felt here as in their former home.

    So eine grandiose Führerstandsmitfahrt !!! Was gibt es schöneres, als früh am Morgen durch die Lande zu fahren ??? Besonders gefallen mir die Morgennebel bei 12:20 in Höhe der Firma Bruder Spielwaren, bei 14:03 die Brücke über die Zenn, anschließend die Rampe hoch durch das Fembachtal nach Puschendorf, bei 20:10 die Aurachtalbrücke bei Emskirchen und schließlich die Brücke über die Aisch bei 27:06 kurz nach der Ausfahrt Neustadt a.d. Aisch. Vielen Dank für's Mitnehemen !!!

    Tolles Video, bin mit dem IC 2024 Passau Hbf-Hamburg-Altona mitgefahren und finde es auch sehr schön wieder diesen Streckenteil zu sehen und finde auch solche Führerstandsmitfahrten cool, da es was ganz anderes ist, wenn man hinten in den Waggons sitzt, hast von mir ein Abo und ein Daumen nach oben, mach weiter so!

    Ich habe früher diese Videos auf Bahn TV gesehen schade das es so was nicht mehr gibt. Vielen dank das man über KZread eure Videos sehen kann ich sitze hier des öfteren und schaue sie mir an. Was ich interessant finde ist zwischen Rüsselsheim Frankfurt oder Hanau gibt es die Signale wo ein orangefarbenen Kreis ist Ich sage immer Mülltonnen Deckel ich kenne diese Signale sehr gut wenn sie runtergeklappt werden hat man freie Fahrt. Nochmals danke für das tolle Video 👍👏😉💓

    Wow, eine coole Mitfahrt. Da fährt man gerne mit. Mir gefällt das Szenario, dass man so noch im Halbdusteren losfährt und es dann irgendwann hell wird. Nach Kitzingen wirds dann plötzlich hell. So eine Fahrt durch den Tunnel ist krass. Das ist ja zappenduster. Wirklich tolles Video. :-) Das verdient Like und Abo.

    Probably Amtrak thinks of long-distance travel in the USA as an airplanes' domain and thus doesn't care for fast long-distance trains.

    This is not germanys slowest train. the IC and the ICE are both intercity trains - and they are the two fastest train types in Germany, the ICE being the fastest one. That - unfortunately - also means that IC and ICE tickets are quite pricey .. and that - to be honest - is the biggest downside to the Deutsche Bahn. A train ride from Berlin to Hamburg - for example (280 km) - would cost 55,90€ with an IC train if I book a ticket for tomorrow. And thats already the cheapest offer where you are bound to your train (i.e. if you miss it, your ticket is invalid if you wanna catch the next train). If you wanna go both ways, you pay a staggering 111€ for both ways. The normal ticket is 79,80€ for one way - i.e. about 160€ both ways. Thats crazy expensive if you compare it to budget airlines or even the car. A (for german standards pretty wasteful) car with a 10l / 100km fuel consumption would need 28l for one way - so 56l in total. With current fuel prices of about 1,25€ per litre, that is equal to 70€. So the car costs just about 63% of the price for the train - if you buy the cheap ticket. If you pay the normal price, then its just 43% - so less than half! So when the car is much much cheaper than the public transport, you might understand why Germans are still very dissatisfied with the Deutsche Bahn. On top of that, the trains are often late - sometimes several hours. Its not uncommon to be 20 minutes late. Doesn't sound like much? But it is - because you might miss the next train on your journey because of it, which would mean that you have to wait for hours for the next one.... What you see here is just the good side of things - don't think that Germans are dissatisfied with the Deutsche Bahn for no reason...

    Certainly train ride is a way how to see places usually hidden from motorways behind walls and bushes or due to distance from downtowns. But you still must have a seat in proper cab side ;)

    Eine schöne Fahrt in den Sonnenaufgang. Tolle Landschaften und mit dem Bodennebel zwischen N und WÜ war das eine wirklich tolle Fahrt. Auch wenn man die Strecke schon selbst etliche mal selbst gefahren ist, ist es doch irgendwie etwas ganz anderes ob man nach Vorne oder "nur" zur Seite raus sieht.

    Das waren - zusammen mit den Weichen des Abzweigs Saalbach auf der HSL Stuttgart-Mannheim - zwischen 1988 und 1998 die Weichen in Deutschland, die mit 200 km/h die höchsten Geschwindigkeiten im Abzweig erlaubten. Eine Weichenzunge (incl. Traverse) wiegt über 100 Tonnen. Auf TGV-Strecken in Frankreich werden Schnellfahrweichen mit bis zu 230 km/h im Abzweig verwendet.

    Die Eisenbahnen Deutschlands sind Super Modern, schnell, ausgezeichnet und das Video ist sehr schön zu sehen. Und in verfluchtem Russland rückständig, Elend und gar nicht die Sicherheit der Bewegung der Züge zu gewährleisten.

    Als Halblaie in punkto Bahn würde ich mal sagen: Makellos (die Bahnstrecke). War auch ein Genuss das Video zwar nicht auf einmal aber in 3 bis 4 Etappen anzusehen. Daumen hoch von mir, ganz klar.

    Had to ride a train in exactly same route between Frankfurt Airport/Frankfurt and Nuremberg several times between years 1999 and 2000. Was interesting to look on it from driver perspective. Seems DB did some serious upgrades between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg. Some tunnels from 1:24:15 look very new and certainly was not here two decades ago. Also section with bridge between 20:06 and 20:30 look at least renowned. I'm curious are tunnels near Würzburg still are such ear torturers? They felt worse than altitude change in airplane.

    Tolle Fahrt, besonders, wenn man die Abspielgeschwindigkeit des Videos verdoppelt: dann fliegt die Landschaft so dahin und die Tunnelfahrten verkürzen sich. Schade, dass die Bahn nicht wirklich im doppelten Tempo fährt: sie wäre als Verkehrsmittel unschlagbar....

    @@nielskut2256 You won't find a platform in Germany with trains passing faster than 200 km/h. Between 160-200 km/h there are specific warnings via platform loudspeakers, before the train is approaching. (Among other precautions.)

    There's an interesting optical illusion as the train leaves Furth. The railroad ties appear to be racing ahead and away from the train as its speed increases. Once it reaches a certain speed the effect disappears.
