He’s got a really nice bag of tricks, from the altissimo range to the double tonguing demonstrated in the descending chromatic scale

Yes I am. And also taking this piece to state for solo and ensemble in April. I was referring to your comment on single tongueing. I don’t double tongue in any part of the piece.

Even if I actually don't like the altissimo on the second mvm, still one of my favourite

Valentin Kovalev plays it in such a way with such a tone that really brings out the beauty in that section. Should definetly listen to his recording, easily the best to date imo.

@@SDGaming11 Claude Delangle is no doubt an amazing saxophonist. He's one of the top saxophonist to listen and analyze to improve your own playing. However, Jacob is right about being out of tune. The video is insanely flat. The video must have been poorly recorded or processed. He's definitely not this out-of-tune during his live performance.

Dezii a recording can change sound but not the tuning. I have another video of this same performance that I got from online that’s recorded on a phone and it’s the same tuning very flat.

@@Bob-hv6dy Just think about this for a moment. This guy do this thing for a living. He understands pitch. Even people much worse than him can tell when something doesn't sound right. I'm gonna take my chances and say he's not really this flat in the live performance. You can convince me otherwise if evidence is sufficient.
