    Hey! For question 5e, can i plug 16 into the function given and equal it to 14000 (from part d) to see if it will equal 14000? so like 14000= -1000(16)^2 + 30000(16) - 210000

    Hey I love your videos. But I still don't really get how H0 changes depending on the context and also does it differ depending of the test you are doing? If you could please explain it would help me a lot.

  • @quirozmath4947

    @quirozmath4947

    21 күн бұрын

    Stick to the intuition that the H0, null hypothesis, is "no effect or no change". H1 is "yes effect or yes change". The context helps each. For example, someone is trying to test if the mean weight of black geese is larger than white geese. The small "u" symbol is "mu" and it means weight. If u1 is mean weight white geese and u2 is mean weight black geese then H0: u1=u2 H1: u1

    Here is a more intuitive explanatiln maybe 1st p-value and significance level are BOTH PROBABILITIES 2nd your p-value is the PROBABILITY OF OBSERVING WHAT YOU ARE OBSERVING IF H0 IS TRUE 3rd Your significance level is like your BENCHMARK. Consider it a "CUTOFF" point... anything beyond that is too extreme of a value 4th example: p-value gave you around 0.01 and significance level is 5%. P-value of 0.01 is 1%. The way you conducted the test is that, anything below this 5% is far too unlikely to occur assuming that h0 is true. And so, its like what you're observing has a 1% chance to occur... only 1% of worlds has this scenario, waaaaay too unlikely, reject h0.

    i have no idea what past paer 2 is, I'm a Math AI SL student, and next week I have Math Ai final term exam from Chapter 3,4,5,6, and 7. Could you please tell me what should I study from or what video you recommend for me to watch without studying from my book

    Your IB exams will include a paper 1 and then a paper 2 the next day. Paper 1 has many shorter questions (like around 12) that usually have only one topic behind it. For example, an entire question only about integrals, only about a box and whisker plot, etc. On the other hand, paper 2 has less questions, but, they are longer since they usually mix these topics. For example, you might have to solve a box and whisker plot and then run a t-test in the same question. I am not sure what chapters 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 refer to in your textbook. I suggest you look up what topics they fall into (functions, probability, geometry, trigonometry, etc) and then look up some videos that I have. You can study from my videos
