    Wow great video! Such long hours! I’m planing to watch more of your AI sl math videos for further reference. I live in Norway, and I’m going to DP1 next year and I am planning to do a lot of revision for my year 11 maths because I failed it this year. The reason why I failed was mostly because of the language barrier (Norwegian) and I’m not fluent in that language, well at least, not to the extend that I can understand the teacher’s teaching. And for some strange reason, the year 11 pre ib programm is in Norwegian which means all subjects except for English are taught in Norwegian and it is not fully IB-like since were exempt from doing cas and such. Thankfully the grades I got for the year 11 (pre-ib/dp program) do not correlate to the ib diploma for the upcoming 2 years since year 11 was mostly public school education and not fully IB so whatever I got for this year do not matter for IB diploma. However, I must take the exam again for math but that won’t correlate to my ib diploma, it is only for the native public school report card. I’m not good at maths and I’d say I’m below average and so I want to take the next upcoming years seriously and get a 6 or 7 for my maths subject. I already got an idea of what to exactly study to better prepare myself for maths ai sl but I would like to hear your voice and what you think i should study for ib maths ai sl. I’ve been looking at your videos for ib ai sl maths and your teaching is OUTSTANDING as I understand everything from you and you make it very clear as to why you answer or approach the problem in a specific way and thoroughly explain each step which is a huge plus. I think your videos will be very helpful for me as I intend to revise during the summer break and I think you will change my life in maths specifically. Just letting you know that what you do inspires me to put more work than I already do and that your videos influence people and help them to improve. ❤

    Hey there! Thank you so much for this heartwarming message!! I am so happy that I have been able to inspire you! :D It is these comments that keep me motivated with uploading videos. I'd like you to know that I was also below average with math at some point... I took the easiest math course available in school. In my first national university entry exams that I did in my country, I was VERY far from my objective score (had to like double/triple my points pretty much, but, I did!). The first course I failed in university was math, etc, etc.. However, nowadays, I am a math tutor in my spare time and finished my degree which actually required a lot of math along the way. Was I talented? No. You don't get to pick your innate talents... Was I disciplined? Yes. You get to pick your habits and where you invest your efforts.... Everything I have ever mastered in math hasn't been talent; It has been, mostly, full on discipline. If you put your mind and soul into it, you will 100% succeed! I think it is absolutely EXCELLENT that you seek to revise during your summer break. I am 100% sure that you will arrive way better than what you think! :) If you put in the work, it'll pay off. I assure you :D I highly suggest that you focus on METHODOLOGY. Identify "buzzwords" (keywords) and figure out the appropriate method / formula to use from there. I recently organized my videos into playlists by topic, so, consider looking at that as well - www.youtube.com/@quirozmath4947/playlists - . Since you have a lot of time (summer break), I suggest that you decide to MASTER a SPECIFIC paper 1 and paper 2 of some year. For example, go ahead and MASTER paper 1 and paper 2 of may 2023. Why do I say MASTER it? Because, when you really MASTER something, you know every single question and you can explain it very well. IT IS MUCH BETTER TO UNDERSTAND FEW QUESTIONS IN DEPTH THAN TRY TO SOLVE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE. This is because it forces you to understand WHY you are doing what you are doing. Seek to answer the WHY of things and you'll master ANYTHING. You're WAY better off mastering one or two papers at 100% than understanding twenty of them at only 15% each, you know? Don't move on until you fully get it/understand it. The IB tends to have similar questions, that is why I mention the whole methodology thing. Also, quick tip, the day of the test you'll have a formula booklet, so, study with it ALWAYS. Get familiar with it, know whats in it, love it, care for it, it WILL save you. Last but not least, consider joining the discord where you will be up to date with the most recent uploads and also have a space where you can ask and also answer math questions. I usually respond within less than 24 HRS. discord.gg/ek3yH5xj. Thanks for the support!! Good luck!! Hope I helped!

    why dont use the central limit theorem for question C? im wondering since its stated it take sample of 80 male cats

  • @quirozmath4947
    @quirozmath494722 күн бұрын

    You are technically applying it since 80 > 30, you can assume a normal distribution, which is what "unlocks" the use of normalcdf. I tend to see that theorem in a more practical sense ("this is a normal distribution, so, now I have xyz tools"). It sounds to me like you might be referring a different formula/method? I am open to hearing alternatives. Regardless, part C asks for the expected number of cats with a weight less than 5.3kg, so you still need to try to get the interval from negative infinity up to 5.3kg.

    @@quirozmath4947 one more questions , why you just use the standard deviation given and not find the new sd with formula sd^2/n

  • @quirozmath4947
    @quirozmath494722 күн бұрын

    @@zikrilhakim7691 ok so we agree that, because 80>30, it is a normal distribution, right? The thing is, it is a normal distribution with THE SAME PARAMETERS (mean and std deviatoon) becauseeeee we are still talking about Persian Cats. If it were new cats or a new animal or whatever, then, you'd have to recalculate the std deviation, mean, etc

    Your IB exams will include a paper 1 and then a paper 2 the next day. Paper 1 has many shorter questions (like around 12) that usually have only one topic behind it. For example, an entire question only about integrals, only about a box and whisker plot, etc. On the other hand, paper 2 has less questions, but, they are longer since they usually mix these topics. For example, you might have to solve a box and whisker plot and then run a t-test in the same question. I am not sure what chapters 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 refer to in your textbook. I suggest you look up what topics they fall into (functions, probability, geometry, trigonometry, etc) and then look up some videos that I have. You can study from my videos <3 but, you need to use your textbook first to see what topics you need to review. I have playlists, so, you can surely find what you need there once you know what you need to review. Also, remember to join the discord! We help each other with math questions. Link is in the description :) Good luck!!

I sometimes mix up numbers unintentionally. plug in what you see at 26:40 with sin(25) instead of sin(28) and you'll get the right answer. Using sin(25) you get 815, using sin(28) you get 733.
