The International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) has focused on advancing design, engineering, materials and methods since its foundation in 1959. The IASS 2024 Symposium is hosted by the NCCR Digital Fabrication, ETH Zurich. Prof. Dr. Philippe Block is Director of the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) on Digital Fabrication and one of the Symposium Chairs. Philippe is Head of the Institute of Technology in Architecture (ITA) at ETH Zurich, where he co-leads the Block Research Group (BRG) with Dr. Tom Van Mele.
