@@DankoMe I get asked that pretty frequently, but unfortunately no, I do not. The short answer is that my channel is still way too small, and I would need to double or triple the number of views-per-video before I qualified for the affiliate link and decal. Given that my views haven't really grown in the last year or so, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

As someone struggling through the French H-34 right now, I wish I had this.

If struggling in regular modes, the heli pve can be coupled with boosters, its not easy, can be quite lengthy (~1-2+ hrs per match), but can help research a bit more efficiently as it's vs ai rather than other players, provided you have a good idea of your limitations and those of vehicles you are attacking. It's a shame this was never brought back, would have been nice to have a TT version to folder with the one provided.

You can also use your ground vehicles to progress your helicopter research, which is a recent addition ( not this update or the last)

Using that isn’t helpful if you are trying to have helicopters to use *with* your tanks in grinding, and in any case is still a band-aid for the poor experience gain rate in Helicopter PvE relative to the time spent

@@NewsPenguin2017 I appreciate the advice, and that's definitely the plan for the future. I would just like to get enough vehicles for an 8.3 or 8.7 lineup before I switch research to helicopters to get one of the first Alouettes.

I really wish this one was in the Italian tech tree. I think Gaijin needs to nail down which smaller nation goes into which tech tree sooner rather than later, because now we have Romanian vehicles in two of them. If Romania ever got a sub-tree, it should definitely go to Italy alongside Hungary.

I think Romania in France actually makes a lot of sense, since Romania was highly Francophilic pre-WW2 and post Iron Curtain. But really, Italy would probably be better, since that limits the western nations that get pact equipment, and France has more then enough vehicles to add first. But I really want Romania lol

@@DrakonPhD I put them in the category of Minor Axis first, which puts them in the same camp as Hungary as far as War Thunder is concerned. I don't think France has any similar connection to them. Regarding vehicles, Italy already has one Romanian premium, the wholly unique IAR-81C, and a tech tree Romanian variant of one of their own bombers, the S.M.79B. That makes me think that more are very likely to go there. I'm guessing France got the helicopter because that came out before the idea of sub-trees, and because it's a vehicle otherwise based in France.

Id love to see the IAR 317 come to the Tech Tree....

Was hoping your rare helicopter review would be this one. I've always seen Romania's place in the cold war as highly interesting and unique. This helicopter shows that well

YES!!! I have been waiting for this review for a LONG time! I really hope they bring this chopper back, cuz I REALLY wanna own it! Maybe when Romania comes as a sub-tree for Italy?

It was a very short lived premium heli (one of the best of the low rank ones, or was with its original 2019 loadout), that haven't returned ever since!

Funnily enough I preordered this thing back in the day because I am a miserable France main, and partly for the title it came with "Skylark". Its great visibility from in the cockpit along with its stability and great loadout make it my favorite heli to play in sim. Although I dont play it much now.

I picked this one up on sale the last time it was available, was like 9 or 10 dollars. Have only used it a bit, was a bit hard with how close you had to get and how slow the missiles are. Have this memory of an Mi-28 being faster than my missiles in heli PvP

Would love to see the IAR 330 come to wt especially as if one of its variants (the SOCAT) can carry Spike-ers so it could be a spike er heli at around 10.0 to 10.7

The french-romanian IAR 316B also has square rocket pods with s5k rockets.

I can see 317 becoming a fairly nice reward for some grind event... It looks pretty nice :D

I had no idea this thing was even in the game until I spotted one out the corner of my eye while doing CAS in Ground RB once - 'once' as in literally that one time in like 1000+ hours of play. My little romanian mind blew and nothing else mattered that match other than getting close to the IAR so we can take selfies together, which was awkward because I was in a plane. I really wish Gaijin would add a mixed Eastern European tree with Polish, Romanian, Yugoslav etc vehicles in it. :/

You just sold me on this if it’s ever sold again. Looks fun!

G'day Tim, Hmm I've berely used this bad boy but I'm planning to use it in the coming weeks alongside a friend who is playing GF often as of late. Sidenote not sure if you already do show it but is there ever any chance of you doing seperate videos of your ground action as when watching foogate that shows an aircraft mid to late game I often wonder what tactics you use in battle or what armour you use before getting into an aircraft.

It doesn't get anywhere near as many views, but I have some ground content up in more of a lighthearted "live commentary" format - check my channel playlists. However when I'm playing more seriously, and not for live commented vids, my ground playstyle tends to be very fast paced, high risk, and aggressive as I need to try and get SP quickly to spawn into an air vehicle to get CAS footage before the match ends. I sometimes record it for use as stock footage when I post the occasional rant-about-something vid or channel update (one of which is coming before the end of the year).

does this thing ever go back on sale? been trying to get it for years and never see it. What holiday would it possibly come back for?

I don't usually ask for reviews but could you please make a review about the UH-1B in the Japanese tech tree? Because I'll soon have the chance to buy it and I really want to prepare before jumping into a helo. Besides there are very few videos about it so there's little to no competition in regards to this vehicle.

I'd definetly use ground battles to research the first AH-1 for japan. the UH-1B is not a good helo

It does feel a bit weird that the long-advertised (or implied?) battles with naval, ground, and both types of air still don't really exist.

I have it, never play it on pvp, just pve, the early MI24 do everything better, have CCIP for rockets and share the same battle in pve, i'm always behind them but he have the best SL multiplier on pve battle

I just did some minutes ago. Try to restart the game, then the PS and if still didn't help try to search for new update. Though I guess maybe it's region dependent because I get updates a bit later than people who make a video about the update. I'm not sure though
