IAPSS Political Theory SRC Webinar: The Theory of Communicative Action by Jurgen Habermas Part II

How has collective action been coordinated by societies in the past? How should it, ideally, be mediated? And what consequences do increasing economic and administrative determination of cooperation have for societies today?
In this IAPSS Political Theory SRC webinar held on 29th November 2020, answers to these questions given by Jürgen Habermas are mapped out by the host, Jendrik Hilgerloh-Nuske. After we explored the action theory, discourse ethics and lifeworld concept from his theory of communicative action in part one ( • IAPSS Political Theory... ), its conception of the systemic tier of society and the thesis of inner colonization are examined in this second part.
