They were friends and business partners as literal kids not knowing how to handle how complex their relationship really was, add on to that the fact that men are generally not taught how to communicate and resolve things well and of course it was worse than it is now. Them understanding more about themselves, and just generally understanding why their relationship was the way it was makes it a LOT easier and better to become friends again and even stronger than before.

The fact that Ian somehow managed to traumatize Damien, Courtney, and Shayne again is wildly impressive.

I love how both of them come to 2 Truths 1 Lie prepared with a bare minimum of 1 nuclear option for every round. They're so similar, even after all these years. My favorite part is how the nuclear option is always the lie, and yet they still find it a believable possibility.

It's a shame she isn't even remotely funny and her skits are honestly just not great. I mean I'm fine with her just remaining on Smosh pit, but I hope they don't repeat 2016-2017 when Smosh made skits with the whole cast on the main channel :x that was a rough era and it was the era that pushed Anthony away as he felt like the channel was cheapened by it. Thankfully due to his personal channels success it's almost 100% guaranteed that Anthony owns a lot more of the channel than Ian does, if Ian could afford 50% of Smosh he would've bought it in 2018 when it allegedly sold for 1/3rd of what Ian and Anthony paid for it. Anthony's channel gets more views than all of smoshes channels were getting combined in the past few years and that tells me that Anthony who owned his channel privately and pocketed all the profits from it definitely owns 2-3x more stake in smosh than Ian does.

@@kaetce Their friendship became strained due to their conflicting feelings over what Smosh was becoming after years working with Defy as well as neither of them being comfortable with communicating fully with each other -- all these years later they've both grown a lot and are in much better mental spaces and they both rekindled that friendly flame they once had (which, honestly, they both did want -- they just weren't sure for a while if it'd be possible, that they'd become too different, but no, they're essentially brothers and you can't separate true family forever).

This is so entertaining. Especially with Shayne, Courtney and Damien sitting there like they're watching their parents play this game. 😂
