She has some classic trait of……High IQ and ….little bit different than the most ppl …there 2-3% of women have that, about 4% men have. I lived thru her same life as child, believe I was UGLY. I truely beleived I was short fat n ugly. N teachers told me I was genius thru my kindergarten , mid school, high school n to college professor in Canada. I do NOT see it in me. I questioned ppl just being nice to tell me that. I am sure HER MOM was treated d Exact same way by grandparents. Its usually telling d way she speaks, by her 1 speed talking and stern voice and --very analytical . Most ppl have that trait are usually at genius level , often accountant and engineer n architect , computer programmer n IT. N my mom is accountant. They live thru a lot confusion, they feel rejected but they cope and they dont know why how everyone around them are more “at ease”. So they will struggle, because they dont have anyone to talk to. They dont have ppl tell them”its okay…if we dont achieve our goal at times, its part of journey. “ “its okay when some ppl find us not attractive, because human are biased. We have OUR Type. Cuz its not about good for 1 person, it’s about that 1 person finds us beautiful…when we are their type> vice versa. “ My mom constantly told me i had iffy nose, iffy lips, iffy face, skin town, i had man hands or fat feet ,,,all those things were NOT true. I did NOT understand in my teens I looked much better than those Japanese pop singers, or why I looked better than K pop ppl…cuz I have NO plastic surgery. Why have to tell me “something wrong with my face” repeatly. Or telling me to “shut my mouth so i wont look elegant to have small cute pouty lip” or call me fat, telling me my butt is too big. Years later most of my Asian friends wish they are “slim thick” like me . I am size xs but my butt is size S no matter how much i lost weight my butt just doesnt shred. It was strange that I grew to H8te myself for NOTHING. It was strangest thing when I realized i was NOT ugly . It was arranged thing. I to this date….understand. But well…..we just have to break d cycle. Cuz we can make choice ,,,knowing parents were brought up d same way. They were emotionally damaged if not worse. My mom tells me that I am beautiful all the time now, she almost lost me i had cancer. And very agreesive stage 4.

I agree she’s very pretty, and she has such a kind heart despite others making fun of her, and that makes her even more attractive. She’s literally not harming a soul. I’d rather be friends someone who is cheap with a heart like her, than to be friends with someone greedy, selfish, and rude.

For those who doesn’t know... Kate is a VERY accomplished women. She is a Certified Public Accountant working at PWC which is an internationally well know firm. And thru her extreme saving methods which we may or may not agree with that’s beside the point she was able to pay for her Harlem apartment in 9 months! Despite how mean people are and you can see how obviously hurt she is she still rises above and determined to better her self... she seems like a genuine person with an inner light that can be wonderful to be around with...

Kate you are such a beautiful soul and I have tears in my eyes because you don’t deserve this pain I hope you know that so many people think you’re so beautiful and wonderful and kind and you deserve all the good things. I’m a cheap girl too, I am awkward, I am afraid, I feel like a lost little girl navigating life. I know how it feels to feel like you’re not good enough like others are. seeing that tlc episode back when i was younger made me laugh, i watched it again about a year or so ago and was sad abt it. thought they used her lifestyle just to make fun of her not caring abt her past. im sure she didn’t even make money or anything from it. i feel so sorry for her that she feels this way. i think she’s beautiful

She's not ugly, tbh. I wouldn't say adorable, but she's got that Asian woman charm I must say. I like her forehead shape, I like that her lips are puffy. She would look soooooo good with maybe like a cat eyeliner look. Or even just like a tiny bit of mascara, she's already feminine looking. And I do love her hair. It's shiny and looks soft.

I watched the TLC years back...and the only thing I feel icky was reusing the food from trash other than that... she's beautiful.. even without/very minimal make up. She upheld herself by not wasting things....i love that abt her

“Ugly” never even crossed my mind when I saw her episode - I thought she was cute. upbeat, confident, and quirky, and had been through something emotionally difficult in the past. Kate is absolutely beautiful, but has had her walls up high to protect herself. That can make it hard for people to see the real person. I hope she’s found the healing and peace she deserves. ❤️
