As a 51 year old dude, I hope you buy that Cougar, Randy. I for one enjoy those older cars you buy that were once common, but now uncommon to see. That’s content I really enjoy.

SAME! I bought a 2002 Odyssey. Its been a fun running project car!
Randy that Cougar is a rare model these days. I haven't seen one in a very long time. It's a beautiful classic.
Wow, that Cougar brought back some memories. They were very popular when first released as they had radically different styling than the boxy cookie cutter designs common at that time. I still think they are stylish, and with so many being on the road at one time, you hardly see one anymore. Randy, you have to save this one from the crusher!!
Love the Cougar, brings back many memories of time long forgotten.
I think that Couger could be made healthy again, love it guys. 😎👌👍🤞

Have been missing you and Mike's collab always funny and enjoyable to watch you two together. Can tell you guys are real friends have a good weekend and a Happy Easter Jimmy from North Attleboro Massachusetts
That Cougar brought back a ton of good memories! In high school I had an 84 with the 5.0 liter V8. It wasn’t an HO but for what it was it did move. It was enough for a dopey high school kid. I had bought it as a total loss the only straight panels on it were the roof and deck lid. It was dark gray with gray interior. I got rid of those awful Michelin TRX tires and wheels and had a set of American Racing Corvette knock off wheels. It had a body kit and dark tinted windows. I gave it to my brother in-law in 91 when I got an 89 GMC truck.
Mike is finally out of jail......(how internet rumors start)
That Cougar is actually a nice car that needs a little TLC. Hope you get it. I had one it was an 87 with the 3.8 that would give me 33 mpg on the highway. If you look those cars up they still bring some money too.

Had an 87 with the 5.0 and it would get 28-30 on the highway.Engine barely turning over in overdrive at 70 mph.Miss that car
Let's go Randy!!! Another AWESOME video with MWM!!! I hope you win the Cougar, that's worth featuring on the channel!!!
i want to see the Cougar on the channel for sure
I hope you end up with that Cougar. I enjoy seeing you pick up these older, underappreciated cars and putting them back on the road!
1:17 Randy! Look at that gorgeous Ford Ranger! She looks sweet!
There's something charming about the old American cars- even the slow, run of the mill economy cars of the 80s and 90s. There was just a level of simplicity that's admirable when compared to modern machines. I'd bet that Cougar was owned by an older person from new, they passed away and the car sat, and then a grandkid or nephew or something ended up with the car and drove it for a few months before it got parked.
Great stuff as always and really enjoying when you and Mike are together
Great to see you guys together again, great video
Definitely Rachel ❤ I graduated in '89 those Cougers/Thunderbirds were everywhere I absolutely love that generation
I think the Cougar was garage kept. It is too nice inside to have been out in the sun and weather much. Can't figure out the paint though unless a tree it was put under did the paint damage.
Great episode 😊👍 Congratulations with the Cougar 😊🎉
Good luck getting that Cougar! It seems to have some serious potential!
Great walkaeoynf with MWM! Happy bday to him! Love the joy you guys have and the serous Mike can bring! Excited for the caddy! Love it!
Love this episode!!! Always enjoy Mike too
Ayy lessgo new video and love to see mike 🔥
I LOVE the old Cougar!!!! Just a sweet car!
Together you make the video fun to watch, guys . Hope you get the car , Randy
In HS my buddy's mom got one of these Cougars after her Oldsmobile Omega blew up. Quite the upgrade! My fundie brother distributed those Chick Publications rags when we lived together. Boxes and boxes all over the dining room. Very grim stuff.
Always enjoy watching @Auto Action Rebuild and @Monkey Wrench Mike 🙏😇
Have to say the Cougar & Thunderbird models of that time were some of the best designed cars of that era. Love to see these old-school charmers on your channel. Glad to see Mike back too.
It's good to see the team back together again
Awsome guys🔥
Keep up the great work. Nice job on getting the car.
Love the Cougar Randy. Hope you win it!
Seriously hope you could get that BMW and that Mercury Randy! Those 2 are pretty sweet actually and the interior of that Cougar will always be awesome in red. Nice to see another IAA walk around after its been a bit and seeing some of this variety of cars. Always look forward to your videos.👍
Finally, Randy and Mike!!
Great video quality !
The egr valves on those old 3.8 v6 engines would get gummed up often. Cause the engine to run rough.
I love when Mike joins you
That Mercedes though 😂 you could feel the struggle haha😂😂
the dynamic duo returns for more car auction shenanigans. Try to keep Da Wrench away from any Mercedes, for his own good
Remember Randy ! Killer Cougar .
You guys are such a hoot 😅. I really hope you get that cougar
MWM, Happy Birthday young man.
The 86 Cougar only needs intake gaskets, they are Failure Prone at the rear coolant passages for some reason.
Once again Randy from the Atari's to your love of wiring...we really are 2 ok a kind, friend! I need to meet you before I die buddy!
That would be cool to see that cougar back on the road and fixed up I remember my uncle had a blue one like that in the early 90s
That cougar is awesome
Jump on that Cougar, Randy. One time, I saw a guy at a gas station near me with an 87 or 88 Cougar, I can't remember and you could see it sitting still without the brake lights on, it rolled back a little bit and then you heard a bit of a rev and it moved forward..... It was a 5-speed manual car!!!! They had them that way from the factory though I bet they were crazy rare and I really, really want one!!!! That Cougar is nice, Randy. Cars like this is why I watch your channel and I bet others feel the same way.
Love your videos ❤❤
Hope you win that cougar it’s not as nice as the 5.0 one you had on your channel before but it’s still nice you don’t see to many on the road anymore Also hope you and your family have a nice Easter
Randy, that generation Thunderbird was sold in Mexico with the 3.8L engine and a 5 speed manual. I have seen a manual in the 1987/1988 model Cougar.
Love the cougar. Had one and 2 head gaskets. Those chicks booklet I’ve found in cars too. Some of the funniest/messed up content reads of my life.
Randy: It's got that partial vinyl roof... Me: "Landau" Mike: Landau..isn't that what it's called? Me: Yep. Congrats on the Cougar. I think my mom's '87 T-bird had the same digital dash with the 5.0L
I hope ya get that cougar!
the 528i are reliable as hell i got a 2010 one 162k miles still going strong
Please pick up that Cougar! My first car was an 86 Cougar with the 3.8 and it treated me well! Only went through 10 starter solenoids a week, luckily never had a headgasket issue. It was the perfect car for 16 year-old me because I couldn't go fast enough to get in trouble with it!
Awesome video it's been awhile you guys collaborate. That cougar reminds me of my neighbors he had the same exact year and color but it had only 88k miles on it. I remember when I was a junior in high school he wanted to give it to me. I should of bought it instead I drove a 92 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series. Sadly my neighbor sold his cougar for 3,500 back in 2004. By the way I'm 42 years old will be 43 in August.
I would rock that E60 all day long, someone took care. The Diesel one is kinda good.
Wow this w211 e class is fully optioned 👍
A good paint job and some TLC would be nice weekend car!
Legend has it that the car randy abandoned is still sitting there til this day
You really need to buy that cougar. It looks to be in amazing shape.
Randy,, I had a 83 Cougar, same body style, had the 5.0 in it. Prior owner even put the 5.0 badges on the front fenders. Had a decent hit on the front end, I had to replace the header panel, bumper and cover. The duel cats collapsed so I took them out, hollowed them out and put it all back together. A cheap Maco paint job and the car looked decent and I drove it for a few years. Had to replace the crank shaft position sensor, but over all it was a pretty cool car. With the clear exhaust, it actually had some get up and do. I would buy another if e could.
That Cougar is awesome. Too bad it's not the 5.0. I had a black 85 thunderbird elan with the red leather interior, loved that car. Head gaskets are a given for sure.😂
BMW…” I don’t see anything wrong with it”….Ah…it’s a BMW with 185,000 miles…This car will suck your bank accounts dry in a heartbeat and itll still be a worn out BMW!
I love the Mercury
My dad had an 85 Mercury Cougar with the 302. Fun fact the digital odometer couldn't display a 2 in the 100,000's place, so when it rolled over 200,000 miles, it reverted back to 100,000.
Some engine tune up, a fresh paint job and that Cougar will shine like new.
Love the cougar I had a friend that had a 83 and 92 cougar nice cars
You should really get that Cougar Randy, would be awesome for the upcoming Power Tour
Very nice cougar plz bring it to the channel these are the type of cars we like to review
Love that cougar. My 85 ltd has the same engine.
Welcome MWM!
Finally, some classics....
This generation Thunderbird was offered as a 4 door in Mexico. Very few were sold and they are hard to find. I can supply you with the dealer advertisement if you like.
The Mercury is very cool .
That cougar kinda makes me miss my 85 that I owned about 16 years ago , grey with grey interior , 302 V8 . I noticed the radios haven't changed in the fords right up into the mid 90's 🤣
24:44 Dang, the payloader found the nitrous switch
Ive owned 2 5.0 80’s Cougars miss em both
I like the Mercury Cougar 😎😎👍👍
Happy Friday 😁😁😁

I had that cougar for years.
MWM in the house! Happy Good Friday! ❤AAR ❤MWM
I don't know guys, the BMW looks a bit cloudy with a chance of rain.
I'd take that cougar over anything else in that parking lot. Nice fresh coat of paint and new pinstripe & ride all day 👏👏😊
Randy. We really like video's like this it's a nice change. Very 👍 good work 👏.
You guy's should have stopped by when you came to Kansas
I like the Cougar 🥰 a lot.
great video Randy! wasnt it a cougar that ran ya over not long ago and buggered your shoulder? or was that a T-Bird? they were identical after all in the 80's. Happy Easter and God Bless you and your family
BMW, Mercedes I stay away from. I've been burned on both brands.. both new. I say hell yes on the Mercury Cougar. Throw a paint job on it. Great for the channel and will look goog on your retail spot when ya get that going!
Get the Cougar!
