Ugh, yeah. Ansolutely 'Do Not' do this in Britain. (I wouldn't even do that here in Scotland). Not only do you have to worry about septic tank overspill, possible contamination from old mine works (and mining concerns can be surprisingly small and not obvious to the eye, but also Liver Fluke (caught from sheep. It must go out through their digestive system, as it's carried by water and gets into plants - wild Watercress especially). Liver Fluke is fatal. It certainly was incurable when I was a child, destroying the liver over time.

Absolutely shameful, and honestly when in Slovenia and looking in lakes and rivers you can SEE the fish, it's like they're in an expensive aquarium display the clarity is that good and the colours outstanding, I dipped my phone in the water to take footage of them and will be sharing some of this real soon. I'd say a slim 17% chance of drinking water that's not polluted is a risk I'd rather not take if I'm honest. I'm sure you'll agree this is pretty shameful, in 2020 it was declared by our own govt that England's rivers are the dirtiest in Europe and I doubt that's changed unfortunately :/

Unfortunately, for England and Wales that really wouldn't surprise me, but the animal care and welfare of all life in Slovenia is pretty hard to beat and so easy to do...It's even part of their Constitution - "The Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia adopted on 23 December 1991 contains a number of provisions concerning the protection of the environment: the State is responsible for protecting nature and maintaining a healthy environment; every citizen is obliged to protect nature..." - we really need this in the UK but I doubt I'll see it in my life time :(

It’s funny when he fills the bottle up it’s got about a inch out and when he starts to drink it the water of full to top, I think someone is talking crap

I think someone needs to watch it again, carefully and then realise that it's exactly the same amount in the bottle, from filling it to first drinking it....

As a Slovenian I can confirm you can do this in many Alpine streams in Slovenia. So he is not talking BS.

@@renbe0 Thank you, I really appreciate this - I had no doubts whatsoever that this water was just fine to drink. After spending just a few days in Slovenia and seeing how each Slovene cares so much about the country they live in and how nature is so important and cared for, I had no hesitation in enjoying this. You should be very proud of your country and all that it achieves, it could show the rest of the world exactly how it should be done. Best wishes, Joel
