Racing Rallies is really bloody complex. The more I've tried to explain that, the more I've realised it. Everything about it needs more detail than I can figure out how to explain.
Olympia Rally was amazing. It's super fun, relaxed and beautiful. It's exactly what amateur rally should be. I really hope you enjoy my guide to racing a rally and it inspires you to get out there and have a go yourself.

This is so cool. I'm 59 and will probably never enter a rally ( I live in Scotland, can't even ride off road here without fear of prosecution ), but you have given a huge amount of information for someone who intends to get involved with rallying. Top man 👍

Im the last person to usually want to comment on a video, but this was one of the most compelling videos I’ve had the pleasure of viewing. I doubt I’ll ever do a rally race at the age of 60…but I really enjoyed your content in this video! Great job and keep up the excellent work!!
What a video this was! I didn’t know I wanted to rally but here I am browsing eBay for 350 rally kits 🤦🏼♂️
Loved this series LLEl, just brilliant, I really appreciate all the effort that goes into making the films, it's not easy to sort your life out just to race, but adding to that the complication of making brilliant and interesting films, just a stella effort. The one thing I want to say, that I'm gonna ram home in my next film, is racing isn't just about racing, in fact most of the time it's better just to call it a mass participation event. People say to me all the time 'i'm not into racing' - but that's like saying 'I'm not into meeting up with my mates, riding my bike and having the best time I can whilst being totally legal! ' For me racing is my culture, my church, my community, my therapy, my driving force. It's not about winning, being the best and beating other riders, it's about the laughs, the beers, shooting shit, talking bikes, looking at bikes and planning the next adventure. You are so right about the where the gold lies, it is about the memories and being with good people. Hopefully you've showed here that getting involved and taking part in events is so much more than winning races. Now then, first round of the Brit Bike rally Champs at Brechfa at the weekend, I don't think the weather is going to be anything like Greece, think it might be slightly damp!
It took me a while but I figured out the awesome soundtrack: Scavenger - Splize, Notize. Cool clip btw 😉

Awesome to follow! Great content, awesome footage and as many already said, very good storytelling. What could be interesting to do a video on (after Olympia or after some rallies, maybe more relevant after a few ones) is what worked for you and what did not. For you (stuff that you take with you for the rally) and also for the bike. To share your experience.
Really good watch. Well done, such a great breakdown of what's involved. I did illyria raid last year as a first timer and found it very chilled like this. Not at all the hyped up egos I was expecting. 🤟

On the risk of repeating what others have written before: simply great! Your narration style is amongst the best I know, you obviously know what you are doing and the filming and editing is superb! (“Thank you” to your support team, too!) Even though I will never be able to do this kind of stuff, I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed watching. Must be great, to do this with your dad, too! (Probably even more so for your dad, who I bet is mighty proud!) Congrats on the win, although it is obvious that the whole experience was much more rewarding than the win. Great stuff

My dude, sorry to hear. Hopefully you can get back functioning well soon 🙌
good point about the mc360 - i run mid-hard on my 500 and yeah, they require certain terrain to feel 'right', outside of that ideal they are a great all rounder but predictably sketchy - in a good way mind, so long as the rider can gel with that sort of feedback it's an easy tyre to recommend: i will try mid soft next time i think as i really like the tyre as a tyre, its carcass and so on suits me

really well done, very enjoyable even for one too old, too slow, and too poor, to do now but would have been my way to go round and look at the scenery given the opportunity. this may well be the standard go to tutorial for this type of event. As an ex car rally co-driver which shares a similar navigation methodology perhaps I can shed a little light on "Tulips" the original versions back in the day were a much simplified hand drawn sketched symbol - at the very bottom was a black blob the "bulb" then some kind of usually a roughly upward line or two as the "stalks" one having an arrowhead perhaps the "flower" as today. These would have been far simpler than the digital database symbols used today, hope that makes some sense. Good result. thanks for the vid and story.
Congratulations love from 🇬🇷

I'm from Denmark, and see a small movement towards E-Dirtbikes, and how they may become a upcoming topic. The interest for Dirtbikes, and offroading like this race is increasing, but all the good forrests and places to ride are mainly state, or private owned. The solution for riding there anyway has become E-Bikes. Because if they cant hear you, you're quite hard to catch. There has allready been stories about private forrest owners setting up traps, like wire across popular trails, cameras or leaving steel wire on the ground to tangle up wheels. Have you guys ever given the movement towards E-Dirtbikes and stealth riding any thoughts? I've never done it myself although i find it tempting at times

@BrakeMagazine as long as your framing remains the same, i.e. education focused, it should go over fine. I'm sure there's lot's more you can cover around prep for rallies in different locations, further bike kit, more stuff around navigation. It's my understanding that rally racers don't run rim locks. At least that's what I've heard. Why is that? Seems like it would completely mitigate the issue of tires coming off the bead, even if the mousse becomes harder to install and adds a (negligible) little bit of weight

I don't think it matters a ton. I think if you have the bigger bike you have to temper your expectations a little, but they're great bikes and more than capable. I'd still use a similar set-up for the nav gear though.
