He was a cruel manipulatur but Anne wasnt so innocent as it might seem. She was a very clever bitch manipulated by her father. It just makes me angry when people are saying: Poor Anne Boleyn.

Henry wanted just to divorse her. Its hard to understand why he acted that way. But it was just a different time then, i guess.

That's why she was called Bloody Mary. Mary Tudor died of what is most likely cancer at the age of 42 and since she never had any children Elizabeth 1 took the throne. Elizabeth wasnt really much better than Henry or Edward or Mary. The fact that she reigned through a golden age was more a feat of longevity than leadership. And she was just as much of a brutal murderer as the rest of her family. The moniker “Bloody Elizabeth” would be just as apt as “Bloody Mary.”

In the end, Anne had the last laugh. Elizabeth became not just a great ruler - she essentially founded the British Empire when she overpowered the Spanish. Ask anyone who's not familiar with English history from abroad (I live in Eastern Europe so I know a lot of people who have no clue about history of Britain). England and Britain are not famous for their kings - but for their queens. Elizabeth, Victoria and Elizabeth II. The three most well-known worldwide monarchs of British history.

Even as she was dying, Mary was reluctant to name Elizabeth as her successor because Elizabeth was a Protestant and in Mary's eyes a bastard. But she had no way to stop the succession since most of England was looking forward to Elizabeth as Queen.

I think Anne knew before her death that her daughter would grow to be a strong woman and queen. And Elizabeth knew her mother would be proud. She was surrounded by people who let her know how much her mother loved her. Even Mary herself praised Anne as being a good mother despite being the cause of her parents divorce and the death of her mother. People like to paint Mary as an evil queen but she was a queen for her people and her faith and she like Elizabeth let it be known that no man should ever rule over them the way their father ruled their mothers.

I was always worried about Anna Boleyn as a historical character. I already wrote comments on some videos on KZread about Boleyn and Henry .. I wrote that despite everything - strife, turmoil, coups, conspiracies, time put everything in its place. Elizabeth - the daughter of Henry and Anna - the fruit of true passion, love, though short, but all-consuming, ascended the throne and rules for 40 years in England. The period of Elizabeth's reign is called "the golden age of England".

It’s so sad that it was Catherine Parr, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard that helped shape Elizabeth to become a great queen instead of Anne Boleyn. Anne was her OWN MOTHER, Elizabeth never got to truly bond and love or care for Anne as Anne loved Elizabeth. She ADORED and cared for her daughter deeply, and was killed off.

Really this montage is a testament to Natalie Dormer and Rachel Skarsten. They’re fabulous actresses who brought charisma and depth to these roles. Watching their shows, I almost have sympathy for their characters who were based on historical figures who were nothing short of evil. Former and Skarsten really are impressive.

This is a great video - I love the concept and the pacing as well as the wonderful audio blending, which can be really tricky when the music on a clip is already so dominant. I guess my main little thing would be that I wish it portrayed a little more of Anne's incredible political power; but then again, it does have the context of The Tudors as an interpretation to lend a fuller portrayal of her.

I always felt a soft spot for Henry VIII’s wives mainly Catherine of Aragon and Anne of Cleves but also for Anne for like Catherine her only crime was that she couldn’t give Henry a son, however Henry got his son through Elizabeth, a shame he never knew nor Anne (I know he had a son by his 3rd wife Jane Seymour, but he died young and didn’t to accomplish the great things his half sister, Elizabeth would)

Was it Anne's unrest soul's doing, both Mary I and Edward VI died? I feel bad for Anne Boelyn everytime, she reminds me of women who did so much to be together with their partners just so they turn their backs on them... I cried so much when I saw their story, Anne is innocent. King Henry just wanted to get rid of her by making these false accusations. No matter how much Henry or witnesses claimed that he loved Jane the most, it is Elizabeth's destiny to become Queen, her mother was such a wonderful Queen.. and it broke me to see her die a tragic death... with FALSE accusations, she held into Henry so much, even to her deathbed.. I feel so bad for her, I hope her next life...

Anne Boleyn was clever enough to get King Henry VIII to love her, fight for her, and marry her. No, I think Henry was only mystify by Anne for a moment. Because she is something new. However, Anne couldn’t give him a male heir. This is when the reality shows, Henry love no one but himself. He knows that he want a male heir to carry on the family lines. That’s why his third wives Jane Seymour is the only wife have the right to be buried alongside by King Henry VIII as Queen of England.

I'm currently watching The Spanish Princess and I gotta say...Henry and Catherine were in love (I'm still early in the show so maybe it might change) and the only reason why he fell out of love with Cat (in Tudors) was because she couldn't give him a son. Henry never understood how many great, beautiful, ambitious, intelligent women surrounded him, wives and daughters alike, cause he was blinded by the simple fact of not being able to produce a male heir. It wasn't all Henry's fault though. It was the society he was raised and lived in. It was the custom and duty of a King to produce males to succeed the bloodline. They never understood that women could be great rulers and that's the saddest part. "I could take you down as quickly as I raised you." ...and yet you were never the one that raised her. She raised herself so you can notice her but then you got bored and tossed her aside as if she was nothing more than someone who had to give you a boy in order for you to love and respect her.
