I will go to the Gestapo. Haliny Aszkenazy-Engelhardt’s account

Фильм және анимация

During World War II, Halina Aszkenazy-Engelhardt (1925-2016) wandered the streets of Warsaw. She had no housing and no livelihood. Someone directed her to the Magdalene Sisters convent at Wronia Street, where lived Sister Bernarda. The nun helped her find a safe place. Nobody except Sister Bernarda knew that Halina was Jewish. We present her account from the oral history collection of POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
