As a intermediate artist I can confirm this is how artists shade and highlight when they have no idea how shading and highlighting works. Down to the accuracy of just blending it all together at the end lmao

Most of them buy a "certification" online which requires no real hands on practice, just a few questions and they give you a cheat sheet with the answers in a paragraph or two. I've been a makeup artist and beautician for 13 years and these people make me seriously cringe!!

Apart from the funny part, I seriously care-worry about the hygiene standards in those "saloon".. Do they clean properly in between the clients visits?! Do they use one-time-use tools?! After such a visit at such a place, I feel that I would go home and scrub my face with all the cleaning products I have... :(
