This trip could have been a total disaster, but it just wasn't. We were both pleasantly surprised by just how professional everything was and how nicely our/your Erebus Origins are coming along so far. We are serious about making Erebus a success, and I think this demonstrated that to our production partner, and hopefully to any doubters watching. Roll on 2024! Cheers, Jody

I really love how you aren't shy about showing that the watches are proudly made in a factory in China, they look incredible!

@@serenityinside1 Because every watch youtuber says: "Do not buy cheap/fashion watches, they are all the same - produced in china, only thing witch changes is the logo"
Jody, I think it’s great that you showed this business and the professionals that work in it in a suitably favorable light. So many times “Chinese” has meant low quality, and it’s nice to see professional people making a good product
Glad to see the launch was a success, and that your choice of watchmaker was well thought through. Also good to see you busting some China factory "myths". Well done!
I watch A LOT of watch shows, more than anyone should, and this is the first factory tour I have ever seen. Thanks for the video!!!!
Fascinating. I too thought the factory would be somewhat less professional, or perhaps just more concentrated on speed versus quality control. But these guys are impressive. Erebus just went up a few notches in my book. I bought one because of you Jody ... I'll stay for the quality!
Mate after all your efforts and continued endless enthusiasm (esp after the whole channel being taken down a couple of years ago) you whole heartedly deserve this

Glad to see the BTS of how good watches are made in good companies in China. Yes, would love to see you do more travel/watch reviews of watch factories and give us an insight behind all the marketing. What a great reveal!

Agreed, would love to see the factories where the parts are made next. Case and bracelet machine would be the most interesting for me, followed by dial and hands.
Good to see you using San Martin, the bloke on the front left in the assembly room has been there years.

Great video. As a foreigner living in China (and watch fan of course!) I'm glad to see you put the factory work out into the world in public. It's always sad to see so many comments about Chinese manufacturing and insinuations of exploitation when there's people here working hard to produce good products and just make a living. Also, the entire microbrand industry relies on factories similar to these and it's always seemed to me a bit of a weird aspect of the industry that no one openly talks about the actual manufacturing - so thank you for putting it out there! Of course, it only increases the trust in the brand as well :)

I mean, there's definitely exploitation happening in China, but it's not just a China problem and that fact shouldn't be seen as a cudgel to denigrate good quality workmanship and professionalism that is as present in China as anywhere else.

I too dislike the hate towards Chinese manufacturing. I buy archery, fishing, watches, clothes and other products from china every month on average and im very pleased with what I get. I think some people are a bit etnocentric and in my country it is the norm in general, unfortunately.

Very envious. A Very Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring you the success you deserve.
I think this does a lot to further the image of professionalism in Chinese watch making that is it’s due. Can’t wait for my purple to Origin to get here!
Awesome to see the process, makes me that much more excited for my Purple Origin!! Thanks Jody & Steven for taking us along for the ride!
As an American engineer having lived in China for years (in two separate times of my life), I appreciated watching your factory walkthrough. Keep it up!
I've actually never been so excited for a watch I've ordered before 😅 I'm so impressed with your production partner; I wasn't expecting the likes of regulation and double pressure testing. Can't wait to have my black origin now ❤
I been to shenzhen probably around 6 times. Its amazing how guangdong has grown from my first trip back in 2004. The factory parking lot back then was all bikes with maybe 1 car.
I’ve never seen a supplier do what you guys have done to reassure potential customers of quality…. You deserve to succeed 😃👍🇬🇧
That was a real treat and a lot of fun to watch. It's the first time I have seen the place where one of my watches was or will be assembled. The factory exuded a lot of professionalism. Can't wait to have the watch on my wrist. Good luck with the next models, too!
Great to see you guys documenting the journey and the effort behind making the Erebus first watch 👍🏽👏🏼 Can't wait to get my yellow one 😁
Fantastic work paring that visit to a 10-minute video! Did you have a plan going in knowing that you wanted to film a video? That’s great that your factory partners are willing to work with you in that way as well!
I am impressed. I thought there would be more automation in the construction. My late partner and I had two weeks holiday in Hong Kong a few years ago and it was great. We were lucky enough to go when it was Chinese new year so the celebrations were fantastic. I remember the bamboo theatre was free and we were able to get tickets for a performance. A few days later we watched it being dismantled. Unbelievable.
This is looking very nice indeed. Been saying for a long time that Chinese products often are much better than we give them credit for. I work for a German heat pump manufacturer, doing the final testing and quality control, and we also sometimes get units that are built in China to inspect. The wiring and attention to detail on those is just so much better than anything I've ever seen produced here in our factory.
Good to see the assembly process, thanks to your good selves and the staff of the factory.
Fascinating to see the process and quality control going into each one. Looking forward to March!
Incredible to get to see the watches made. I can’t wait to get mine in. Wonderful work, Jody, it’s been fantastic to watch this journey for you.
What amazing quality control - I had an Omega Seamaster Officially serviced in the uk and it had to go back 4-5 times - dust inside the case, scratches on the AR coating, etc. What professionalism. Im hoping one of your next watches will be a strong field watch with good WR - ill definitely be signing up for preorder for one of those.

So great to see recordings outside the studio, and very good to see factory tours as well. Keep them coming! And happy holidays from dark and rainy Denmark.
In three years time I expect no less than Mrs. JOMW to drop you off at the airport in her Aston Martin DBX to take the Erebus Corporate Jet to Honk Kong! Not that I had any doubts I would receive the watch, but this makes it so much more real. 👍🏼

Ha! Mate, she'll still have that bloody Beetle. She adores it. Me, not so much!
Impressive! Thank you for the factory tour.
Great to see the care going into these watches. I agree about the widespread dismissal of NH3* movement Chinese watches. I read lots of comments saying "I wouldn't trust a Chinese watch in the washing up bowl, let alone on a dive", so I took 4 Steeldive sub-£100 watches diving and they all worked flawlessly. They all delivered sub 10s/d accuracy as well, which is more than you can sometimes say for far more expensive watches. Detractors, of course, will say I got lucky, but if nothing else, it proves that they're not all junk as many would have you believe. No matter what you think of the Chinese regime (and I'm no fan), Chinese factories can produce quality goods at excellent prices. I wish you all the best with the launch of the Origin and will watch future releases with great interest.
Great video, Jody! To get to see the watches being so meticulously assembled and tested was inspiring. Knowing my watch is being handled with such care and craftsmanship means I’m all the more excited for delivery. Come on March!
I am utterly surprised and impressed with the amount of efforts and resources the factory folks have put into making these watches. Thanks for the factory tour. It was certainly an eye-opening experience for me.
Thank you for the tour. This really makes me excited to be receiving my watch in the coming months
Glad your tour want well. Thanks for showing us the conditions in this factory.
This os incredibly impressive. I didnt think the quality whould be this stellar. Looking forward to see my blue one arrive. Loving to see the insides of a facility like this, and the fact that my watch will be made here is amazing.
Thanks for taking us along. As if I was not already stoked to receive mine!!
We like to see you “unleashed” from the studio. This was great. Wow! What a cool factory. Your watches just rose quite a few spots in my wish list.
Seiko.... Seiko! Are you seeing this? The QC on alignments and accuracy... come on Seiko!
I don’t know how I missed this video and I am looking very forward to receiving my Jody watch! I’m flabbergasted I just tell professional this process is. Not at all what I would’ve expected.. I guess the most unexpected thing was the fact that they adjust the NH movement…. And not just in one position, but four!?!? And they pressure test it?! Wow… Just wow.
Thanks for the look behind the scenes. Looks like an efficient and clean operation.
Congrats, Jody and Mr. P! I can see the pride in your eyes as you watch your dream come true. Here’s to you, the Origin, and more successes to come!
Great fun and interesting to get this inside tour! Thanks guys! 🙏🏻🤟🏻
Coming from Hong Kong, I am super impressed by the factory set up and feel that my Erebus Origin is worth so much more with all the TLC.. Kudos to the team for putting this together! ❤❤❤
@justonemorewatch Thank you for showing us this. You likely wont recall, but when you launched this I was one of the people who left a comment enquiring if you could speak to the working conditions in the factory. My concern was because the watch offers a lot for the money, which normally is at the cost of the people who make it. This level of transparency is fantastic. Makes me really motivated to buy one!
Great insight into the factory seldom seen. Very impressive.
This was so fascinating! Thanks for the behind-the-scenes look.
that's WAY COOL that you got to go to the factory and check it out.... it looks about as professional as you can get... lab coats and the whole 9 yards! my guess is you breathed a heavy sigh of relief when you saw how dialed in everything is. big fan of Jody-out-of-the-house vLogs. thanks jody! cheers!
What a great video. It was so cool to see how a watch is made. I can't wait to see what Erabus has in store for us next

Congratulations again on the successful launch! Fantastic travelogue on the new company, and impressive to see how the watches come together.
Fantastic to see what goes on behind the scenes with your watches in production. They look great and very diligently put together. All the best to you and Steven 👍
Very pleased to see the quality control going into these watches. Can't wait to receive my teal in March!
Can't wait for second and third model while still wiating for Erebus 😊Factory looks amazing, regulating movements was like wow 😎
Very impressive assembly and QC! Do they also manufacture the components at that location? Would love to see some molten steel being poured into moulds to make the cases or how the polishing is done. Or how the dials are made.

Suspect there are different part makers ie dials made one factory, case in another and bezel in another . All brought to assembly factory. This is how the likes of Christopher Ward do it apart from they use Swiss suppliers.
Very cool video! The factory was indeed more clean and advanced than I would have thought. However, I would have loved to see where the actual parts are machined. Do they come from a variety of different places? Do you know how clean and controlled those environments are?
Super cool video! Thanks for sharing Jody. Now, hurry up and show us the next Erebus model.
What a brilliant and enlightening video. So insightful and comforting to know the quality and processes behind Erebus watches. Thanks Lads.
fascinating - loved the airlocks and was pleasantly surprised to see pressure testing on each model
Brilliant video, Jody. I grinned the whole way through and am glad you and Mr P enjoyed your wolly (work jolly). I can't wait to receive my 3(!) Erebus watches in 2024. Seeing the manufacturing process makes my purchases feel even more special; so thank you for that. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
I bought an Erebus mainly to support you. Now that I see what goes into it, I am even more excited to get my hands on it! Also, I'm a knife collector and in the past decade, China has made huge improvements in quality manufacturing. I own a few Chinese knives and they are mainly my EDC's.

Very exciting to see the watches coming together, great video! I've been doing a bit of wishing I'd gone with the yellow dial but seeing the tray of reds, I'm pleased with my choice. Black has always been my go-to so the red will be a real stand out.
Stellar. Congratulations on your initial success and good luck with future models.
Congratulations and what a way to celebrate, you could have bought another something but chose to take us on a journey with you. Thanks for the video I really enjoyed seeing what inside a Hong Kong manufacturer is like but most of all enjoyed your smile, you look so happy it is a joy to see.
Thankjs for the update gents and so happy for you both... Happy Holidays!
Great tour, ty!
Thank you guys!! This was absolutely brilliant! Really helps the nerves for someone who is hoping to do the same in the future.
So happy for you mate!! Continue living your dream and thank you for sharing it!!!
Was superb to see the factory and nice to hear that your going to keep a red one as well as the black, I look forward to receiving my red one, maybe it was one of the ones in the video being assembled.
This is fantastic! Thanks Jody for sharing this part of your awesome journey. Can't wait to get my blue one. I have a feeling that the next Erebus will be a field watch.😉
Very Cool, thanks for sharing. All of the QC inspections were impressive, I'm very glad that I invested. Looking forward to the next designs.
Very fun video- thanks for sharing what a real Chinese watch factory looks like on the inside. You’ve shown us how the horological sausage gets made in Shenzhen. Very cool.
Fantastic. Thanks for taking us along.
Very impressive ! Indeed a very worthwile trip! Thnx for the insights. Cheers from the Netherlands
Great to see the launch off to such a great start and, for someone who has purchased an Origin, I appreciate all the production background… I frankly have not seen this with other Microbrands. 👍
one of the best watch videos in ages, and should be done by other watch brands more often. Thankyou for SHARING this with us!
Most interesting to see! Looks very professional indeed. Good to see that they take regulation and QC very seriously. Congrats, Jody!
It’s nice to see people working in the factory, the last walk through I saw it looked empty. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a grade 5 titanium 40mm watch with date and tritium tubes all the same colour.
Loved this vid. Brings a lot of authority on the field. Crystal clear brand work. Congrats!
There will be an Erebus watch in my near future. Great to see how well this is going... keep up the good work!!!
Looks like a good operation and good working conditions. Beautiful geography.
Wow, great video. Very interesting how they put those watches together and QC them
Well done guys, great video of your inspection trip. Really good to see the professional approach to watch assembly it fills me with confidence so you two must be really pleased. It's a good sign hat they are happy to show you around and let you film what was taking place. 👍
Very impressed Jody. Yes it does feel one with confidence especially seeing the regulation, the dial alignment process and the two stage water testing. Do the watches get sent with a regulation result receipt? Great stuff. Looking forward to seeing what future designs you come up with hopefully one appealing to me!! Tc
I’m impressed! Looking forward to see your reviews on the new piece. Congratulations!
Yeah, a country that hires proffesionals to do a job. Im surprised most are surprised and many have misconceptions about China. Had your watch been made here in New Orleans, we would all be very cautious about quality control. Im glad yall took the time to us around. Saving up for an Erebus. TY
Jody……I, like many others, ordered an Origin watch (or two 😊) out of a desire to support your launch of Erebus Watches. The fact that the watches looked great with an impressive spec sheet made the decision to purchase easy. Taking us on a tour of the manufacturing process was a real treat, fascinating and reaffirms why I had no hesitation in backing you. Sincere thanks!
Very impressed by the standard of your manufacturing partner Jody. Looking forward to my black dial Origin arriving next year. Thanks!
I was anticipating this video the most this year after Jody mentioned it coming up. I am thoroughly satisfied. 😊 These watches are great looking. The white dial is my favourite for at a glance legibility and discreetness. I thought it was going to be a full lume dial when I saw it on the reveal video. If it was I would be eagerly awaiting its arrival next year. Hopefully a full dial lume version will be available.
This is the kind of content I've been waiting to see for years as a watch enthusiast and a lover of microbrands! Thank you for this video!
1:55 So Funny, I've eaten there, that's Temple Spice Crabs on Temple Street, off of Jordon Road. That was about 5 years ago and it doesn't look like anything has changed. I came here for a watch factory tour, left with some fond memories being dusted off. @JustOneMoreWatch Thanks and Cheers from Tassie.
Beh!!!
The quality control looks impressive. It reminds me of the quality control at a computer chip production plant.
Nice, glad to see the brand doing well. Definitely would of loved to see some shots of the gentlemen putting on that seconds hand!
I really enjoyed this video Jody and I'm so looking forward to seeing the next models! Cheers!
Very impressive, Jody & Steven. I can't wait to see what's next!!
Wish your brand much success! Hope a future model will feature the Citizen true GMT movement, hopefully in small case size, hopefully with that Pepsi bezel/white dial configuration
I've not ordered an origin, but I will keep looking at new releases. I'm sure this presentation must give all of us so much confidence. Thanks so much. 😊
Awesome factory tour and video. My request / suggestion for your next, or soon to be next, watch is a 38mm field watch. All numerals, adequately long hands, no date. That would be a no-brainer buy for me.
Well it's always fascinating to see that Jody is indeed living outside his studio as well 😅 Great video! Love insights like these into the production. Something you usually don't get to see which is leading to all these misconceptions in the first place. I hope there will be updates like these in the future!
Pretty cool. And Hong Kong is always a fun trip. Nice going Jody!
Excellent bro. Thank you for being so open!
Great video! Thanks for sharing and congrats on your success.
Loved this, Jody. A real education for us microbrand consumers! So pleased for your success and looking forward to future releases🎉
