I went on a 12-day cruise in Norway, Svalbard, and Iceland with Norwegian Cruise Line and took my parents along and in this vlog, I explore Longyearbyen in Svalbard, the northernmost town in the world! This is honestly one of the most unique and fascinating places I've been to and in this vlog, you'll see what makes this place so unique. Svalbard is very close to the North Pole, and exploring this place was so cool! We visited in the summer and during the summer months, the sun never sets here! When I was on Svalbard in 2021 I was able to visit the Russian towns of Barentsburg and Pyramiden.. This was like time travel to Soviet times. In Pyramiden there is the world's northernmost statue of Lenin. It is for the moment not possible to visit the Russian towns because of the sanctions against Russia. An interesting fun fact is that there are approx 250 Asians living on Longyearbyen. They are mostly from Thailand and the Philippines and work in hotels and restaurants. Last year Tom Cruise was spotted in Longyearbyen. The reason is that the next Mission Impossible movie will be filmed in Svalbard.
Is this deja vu or what cos i think u have been to norwegian earlier also with mom and dad.....but this is a long stay prior to this was a shorter trip, u and ur mom looked like sisters at starting of video while walking together..... spectacular visuals....keep growing......@Kritika
