I Went to the Amazing Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Tokyo
Starbucks Reserve is a program by coffeehouse chain Starbucks. The program involves the operation of 6 worldwide roasteries. The Tokyo roastery located in the Nakameguro district opened in 2019. It is the only Reserve Roastery built from scratch and features design elements of Japanese culture and also draws inspiration from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The facility has four floors. The first floor has the main coffee bar, main roaster and bakery. The second floor has the Teavana tea bar. The third floor as the Arriviamo cocktail bar. The fourth floor has the Amu Inspiration Lounge and coffee packing line. The facility is located next Meguro River which is famous for its many cherry blossoms that bloom along the river in the springtime.
