I see the kids here in Sweden on their football practises outside in pouring rain or snow. The guys are probably used to play in these conditions. Hot and humid weather is worse.

Just FYI at 04:10 is says; "I landet provocerar ni fram situationer, huligan, ultras, julgran eller barn? När batongen är vevas är varje måltavla likadan". This loosely translates to "Provoking situations in the country, hooligans, ultras, Christmas trees, or children? When the baton is swung, every target is the same." it is pointing towards the recent increase (although it has been going on for a long time but worse now) in violence towards football fans from police and security guards at marches, games other events across Sweden. So it has nothing to do with djurgården, although they do belong in a zoo!!

And julgranar, (christmas trees) is an expression for fans overly decked out with team stuff like hats and whatnot. A normie match enjoyer. Opposing the low key style of casual culture.

Regarding the loudness from the ultras you are right, technically. It depends on where you stand, BUT there is another technical thing about this arena. The stands where the AIK Ultras are are possible to move so you can make room for concerts and other events. That stand is made as a telescope stand that is possible to "fold in". A lot of the sound from the AIK stand goes "backwards" compared to the stand where the Djurgården fans stands, which is made of concrete and most of their noise reflects out.

There was a person who needed medical care in the stands at the end. Not a streaker.

@@andersmalmgren6528 Actually no. The guy you see running full sprint up the stand is the AIK medic who understood something was way off. It was a "serious situation", but from what we've been told the fan is doing better now. Kudos to Djurgården for officially thanking the AIK medic for his quick help.

Went to watch hockey, fell in love with football, a classic.

There is heating underneath the turf. That way we can play during winter. There are artificial or hybrid turfs all over Scandinavia. They need to be heated to in winter. They water the turf before the game and during the intermission. This is the same for both natural grass and hybrid.

At Friends Arena, it is a real lawn. AIK is the best! 🖤💛

It's correct that it was a hand on the ball at 7:03 in. But, he clearly had a fall on the ball, had to take his arms out to break the fall, and it didn't affect the gameplay, so the referee correctly let the play continue. Handball is only illegal if it's intentional, or it's due to your hands/arms having unusual placement(meant to hinder) or if it affects the game enough to cause a goal.

I used to love to play in cold weather, you had to keep moving to stay warm. But if you’re a goalkeeper it kinda sucks.😊

Weather was fine. You just have to put on the long johns and an extra sweater.

A frozen pitch is really bad for the players knees and creates many injuries.. I think they maybe failed to defrost it properly in the beginning.

Extreamly tired and hung over today, but also really happy we won. The weather in this country is f-ing depressing.

The weather and arena layout kills the grass after about a month. It becomes very slippery at that point. Hopefully they will change the grass soon.

Nope. No doubt “the battle of Copenhagen” is the biggest and fiercest derby not only in scandinavia but in whole of the North. Its even being called “New firm” which is a reference to “Old firm” which is one of the fiercest derbies in Europe between Celtic and Rangers. Besides that “Kjøbenhavns Boldklub” is the mother club of F.C København and is the oldest club in Continental Europe.

50k. But a few thousands less during derbies as some sections are closed down between the fans for security reasons. Was over 44k yesterday so more or less sold out.

Which games/grounds have you been to? Atmosphere not quite the same since all seating grounds and some fans suffer having to move to big soulless stadiums like Wham and Spurs. Wouldnt say the football was bad though UTV

There is actualy a place in Stockholm cald Djurgården, you can visit it! It was our kings hunting ground! Now there is mostly "Gröna lund" amusmentpark, ABBA museum, "Skansen" a heretige museum, and a lot of other things to visit.. when the weather is better!

Djurgården-AIK är störst. Sedan 2015 har det varit fler i tvillingderby alla år förutom 2018 och 2022 jämfört med mot Bajen. Rivaliteten är också mycket större, ingen tar jippoklubben Hammarby på allvar.
