I went from the busiest station to the least used station in Tokyo | Japan Vlog
Shinjuku Station is the busiest station in Tokyo (and Japan), with over 2 million passengers a day. From such Shinjuku, I went to Shiroumaru Station, which is said to have the fewest passengers in Tokyo.
As it was a weekend morning, there were not many people at and around Shinjuku Station, so the contrast may be a bit hard to be understood, but anyway hope you enjoy!

Wishing you safety and ease after the earthquake. Your channel is beautiful and a little slice of hope for me. We eagerly await your return in the future :)
I wish there are trains like this in my country. I would definitely take a weekend off just to explore the areas around me.
Hope you and your loved ones are doing ok after the quake! Shiromaru seems more rural than the area around Mt Takao. It's really nice to see a place where people are trusting and can be trusted. Not sure there are any places like that in America...

It was really strong and long one, but we are ok. Thank you. Yes, Shiromaru is an area like further out in Tokyo. I am not sure if people cheat, but at least I paid my money. haha
It always amazes me how clean Japan is. Thousands of people walking on the streets of Tokyo and not even so much as a receipt on the ground. Also, I love how quiet and serene that little town was!
that neighborhood is so peaceful, it must be an everyday bliss waking up to such a beautiful place. I hope everything goes back to normal asap i wanna visit japan
Thank you for watching Japan spring green color. It's snowing in Korea. It's not normal we have snow in March. Have a good weekend!
Love the contrast between the bustling streets of Shinjuku and the peaceful, slower-paced Shiroumaru. Also, seeing you "break the 4th wall" by returning to retrieve the camera after you walk past it was pretty funny. You don't see that aspect of solo vlogging very often. xD
Hello from Ukraine! Thanks for this serene relaxing trip! Rural places in Japan are so peaceful and cozy!

I’m praying for you my man
Shiroumaru somehow makes me feel nostalgic for something I've never experienced
Noooo, please don’t change your trademark opening melody, hope it’s a one-off as I love the original one! As for the rest of the video, what a lovely idea. Hard to believe it’s still Tokyo! Such a station would’ve probably been closed a long time ago in London. I like how the filming speed and cuts are much quicker in the busy Shinjuku than in the serene area. A nice little cinematography trick. Also, love the fact that even such a remote and quiet place has a restaurant that looks cool and serves what appears to be very yummy food.
I’m currently learning Japanese so I can one day visit Japan 💜 I love watching your videos and getting a better look at you country from your eyes. I hope you weren’t too affected by the earthquake 🙏🏽
😊 Ryo, you have a great sense of humor. This mini adventure made me laugh. The aerial view is always my favorite. It is so beautiful when you look down. It looks like a mural painting. Stay safe. Looking forward to your next adventure. 🦖
I have been waiting for your uploading~ thank you~!!
This video brings me so many memories, after living in Japan for 3 years, I had to leave the country for family reasons but I'm glad that I completed one of my life dreams. Thanks for making me remember one of the most beautiful moments :)
That station is the loveliest place I've seen in a long while. Japan is such an amazing place. I miss it so much. Thank you for this video.
Bula vinaka from the Fiji Islands. I started watching your videos around one year ago when Fiji was in lockdown. I was lucky enough to visit Japan in 2018, and your videos both remind me of those better times, and also helped to keep me calm through the difficulties of the past year. ありがとうございます.
I like so much this kind of place. It looks like the perfect place for detective kind of story could happen. Also, I like your sense of humor so much, lol. Having a KZread channel must be so difficult and tiring. Take your time and come back when you feel inspired, I'll watch your videos then. Take care.
Such a nice break from the city. Calm and peaceful. I enjoyed this video. Thank you for uploading. Hope all are well and hope your have a good break. Take care Ryo. 😊.
Lol, I love your sense of humor Rural japan is so fascinating. Nice video!
I think the least visited station in Japan I've been to was Yamanakadani station in southern Osaka prefecture. It was a cute village which I suppose must be more crowded during sakura season. It's interesting to see this journey 🥰
It is beautiful there just look at all of mother nature! Thank you for taken us with you 😊
As always a very nice video!
Oddly enough, this has been a perfect start to this weekend. I am now sitting with a page full of notes.I have my Japan A to Z open, too. As much as I want to visit Tokyo, this - Shiromaru and Okutama - is where I'll dedicate a few days in order to backpack the area. So thanks for the heads-up.
This is the best way to escape from hectic life, take a time for healing. I really like the restaurant, the view is so "calm", also the city/village is so small but clean. Glad that u show us this kind of video, looking forward ur new video
Perfect Trip!!! Thank YOU!!!!

Wow, the drone shots are so beautiful. I am so calmed by this trip..two worlds in a day.
Such a beautiful landscape! Thanks for sharing this video with us.
So clean and peaceful. Never heard someone shouting
Love the video and background music, very calm.
That was an amazing video. Arigato Ryo. I was with you every step as you went along. Those little places are the ones we love the best when we travel in Japan with our Japanese daughter in law. I hope Japan is open to tourists again very soon. Miss your country so much.
Again, a nice video you made. The drone flights are amazing! Hope to see more videos from you. Take care Ryo! 😊☺️🙏🏻
Your videos are so enjoyable! I loved the atmosphere. Amazing the difference between the two places...especially when you're back to the city right at the end of the video...After all the quiet views! 🤗👍
Just came across your videos whilst I’m anxious and cannot sleep, I’ve watched a few now and I’m so much more relaxed. I love your channel so much it’s exactly what I needed :)
One of my favorite videos from you! Love your comments and the beautiful landscape! Keep up the great work! :3
loving the new intro, Ryo-san! Keep up the great work :>
nice video really like how you explore the village side in your videos, going off from the hustle in city life to the country side. it feels so refreshing
I am so delighted to subscribe your channel man! 頑張る.
It feels so serene and peaceful. I would love to be there and find myself. If I will have a chance to get a break, pause for a while and live, this is the best place to be. I do really find peace on being alone with nature. It feels so alive. Anyways, thanks for bringing us a glimpse of this place. It is really beautiful. Keep safe.
Nice to see these get away to explore lesser known parts of japan, feels so calm and relax.
That’s so great! You made me want to live in such a lovely quiet place. Thank you for this beautiful experience!
That little station reminds of all the good times I had adventuring around Japan. I loved all the little villages so much :)
This is perfection! 😍
Beautiful photography. Thanks for sharing.
Always so great to visit you. Please continue to make videos. They are very good, and I enjoy your journeys very much.
Beautiful camera work and editing.. and hilarious captions as a bonus!!
Your video is so calming. I like it
Looks like a lovely place! Hard to believe it's still Tokyo :O Love your funny commentary too, nice video!
Thanks for sharing. There is a contrast of living in the city and the suburban area in Tokyo. Hope to see more videos from you exploring Japan.
That was nice to see. Thanks for the video
These are the areas of Japan I would love to explore. I’ve been to Tokyo but it was all so busy, but the area around this station seemed so peaceful and beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.
This channel is underrated! Glad I found your channel. It was relaxing and I love the senary of Japan!
Your meal looked absolutely delicious! I hope you enjoyed it.
Really like this video! I should have been in Tokyo in 2020, still waiting!
I love Japanese trainstations and the fascination that Japanese people have for trains and stations! Really good video.
Thank you for your videos. Don't stop making it. That's extremely interesting for european. Your last story about teenager love was exceptional.
I really like rural Japan. You did a great job making this video. Thank you.
Shiromaru looks like a beautiful and idyllic little town.. and the restaurant food looked delicious!!. Great video, I enjoyed it a lot, safe travels!
I think I cried a little inside me when I watched this, especially when the piano music came on. Thank you
Wow, thank you for this comparison, it is so interesting to experience both sides of Tokyo. The outskirts and the least busy areas have some charm and a calm atmosphere. The "amount" of quietness is surprising, it can be recharging after the busy central areas. I always wander around in Google Maps to see what is the vibe in random areas, but through your video, it's much more immersive. Have a great weekend! 🙂
Rural areas are always comforting for me, you can feel the calming atmosphere and relaxing your nerves and heart, feels absolute bliss
So many horror stories about that lonely train station. Glad you made it back! 😀
catching up on your videos lately and wow you have gained a lot of subscribers! I remember when you only had about 2000. Well deserved. Hope you are enjoying spring :)
It had been so restrictive and difficult to travel due to COVID. Watching your video is so refreshing and feels like going back to the travel dates! Thank you.
Loved the video. I felt like I was on the trip with you. Shiromaru looks like a beautiful spot but not sure if I could stay there. 👍👏
Its so beautiful!!! Manifesting a japan trip this year coz I miss it so badly
Such a stunningly beautiful landscape 👌🏼💯 visiting here during autumn when the leaves turn red must be even more gorgeous
I recently discovered your channel and I am very glad that I did. Your channel is my favorite KZread channel! I wish you the best and I hope you continue to make these videos! 君なら できるよ! ありがとうございました!
What a peaceful and tranquil place Shiromaru is. Thank you for the fascinating video and I hope you are all alright there. :-)
cant wait for your new videos :)
Thank you - very enjoyable video. I used to live in Tokyo. Shiromaru is beautiful - I want to live there! :-) D.A., NYC
So quiet over there. That's amazing
Japan is the most beautiful country there is for me. Very nice video, as always.
