I actually picked up the pinecones that fell off my tree. I put them in a box and drizzled them with cinnamon essential oil and shook them around in the box with the lid closed. I have them in bowls and crocks in my house. 3 months later and they STILL smell good!

I would make fall wreaths with pine cones.

Did you hear that dumpster diver, Frugal Mommy from Freakin' Frugal, was severely burned when her skirt caught fire? Her seven-year-old twins witnessed it. She's now in a burn hospital in PA. Anyways, I thought you would be interested since she is a fellow diver and KZreadr. Keep her in your prayers. She's a cool lady!

I buy a bag of pine cones every year and place it behind my toilet. It makes my bathroom smell nice. I place the older one in the spare bathroom when I buy a new one. Rise off with warm water to refresh the fragrance

You're not always a klutz!!! We all are at one time or another. I was first in line at a concert's box office, and when I went to take out my credit card, the metal accordion wallet that I had, promptly dumped all of my stuff onto the floor!!! I had a LOT people behind me too!!! 🙄 Now that's a nightmare!!! Lol...😆 Love your gift card videos!!!

She got to close to the fireplace and her skirt caught fire. She was in ICU for awhile. She had to have skin grafts on her legs, bottom and I think hips. Plus she had leggings on.

Also you may be able to make bird feeders out of them. I've seen it done before, but not sure what you put on them to hold the bird feed on with. But with these being the scented ones, I'm not sure if you can do that or not

We always have fires when we go to our cottage and it’s hard to find tinder to get them started. You take these pine cones and pour old melted candle wax on them and you have instant fire starters !

Dipping them on melted candle wax works too Great firestarter I used to make them and sold them smells good too!

Dip the pinecones in wax when the scent is gone. They make great firestarters.

Hello from Wisconsin At Christmas time I went into a store to get a gift card and the was was a hole bunch of them hanging from a rack and of course my purse hit the rack and dumped a bunch of them on on the floor. I was so embarrassed but the clerk said to me no problem that's the 3rd time today and he came over and cleaned them up. Opps. you think by now they would have moved the rack. Lol❤❤

The curling iron boxes that have the magnet to it that open up you are to save those and do pictures like with your grandkids on them as a storage box. And u could use one for the gift cards. Just saying. Love the pine cones.

There is a factory in my small town, they buy the pine cones from pickers and they spray them with an oil to retain the smell. If your ever out of wood to start a fire, the cones are very flammable, one cone will start any fire.

I LOVE it... 😆... Another video and cool finds. I know you can dip cones halfway into wax for fire starters to light in fireplaces. I LOVE the smell of the pinecones plain too. Those hot wand bags are amazing and awesome...

Went out to lunch 2 years later and saw both of those stores in a section of NOVA where I have shopped before. I laughed out and told her about my new friends on KZread! where i live most of the stores use those compacting dumpsters .

SWEEETTTT! people make decorative wreaths with them or cut them to make flowers and paint them. Soo cool that they have a nice scent to them.

You can pick up your own pine cones dropped by trees. Clean off needles. You boil the cones in the scent you want. Cones will open while they boil.

The pinecones make good mulch for the yard too! And they smell nice!

Hi Steph, I’ve gotten those scented pinecones before. As a matter of fact, I have some in a bowl. After a while the scent diminishes and I just use scented oil or I spray them with room spray. When you were walking to your car to put the pinecones in there, I noticed the sky. It looked beautiful. I’m in Connecticut and it’s snowing right now.😟

Wow steph. I watch so many of your videos and i just love these pinecones. Cant imagine they were just thrown away. They cost a bomb in India for each at least 300 Rs for each big one. Wow. Thats a really nice haul.

*I love the smell of pine trees.* We have one huge pine behind our townhouse that drops at least 5 cones a day. One of our cheap shops near us, when they get something broken or damaged, they have a section and they mark it down, put in a ziplock bag amd sell it at a much cheaper price. Love that it, can get a good bargain and not going to landfill. I do t get why other shops don't do this too. And

Those pine cones remind me of my parent's house @ Christmas time. My mom always takes a huge basket & mixes regular pine cones with smelly pine cones. 💜 I think that they use the essential oils on the pine cones. (Like Cinnamon & let the pine cones absorb some of the scent. I've heard of ppl using syringes & injecting the oils inside/the middle of the pine cone)🤷 Im sure Steph could figure something out she's so crafty. 😊 -Kirsten

My fiancee literally dry heaves when he smells cinnamon, so he stays away from those...lol.

I break off the petals/stems/leaves and drop them in my clothes drawers. Then when I open my drawers they smell like cinnamon. I ended up with about 10 bags last year... for a penny a bag. I also used them in my X'mas tree this past year... house smelled so nice.
